    Mobil 1 Racing, 0W-30, $11.98 quart...

Racing oil is actually a category of oil. Much like conventional, semi synthetic, full synthetic, racing would be the 4th type. As JeffL pointed out it has much higher zinc content.

    BX tiller on the cheap!

Nice job! I don’t know anything about tillers. What’s the big difference between regular and reverse tines?

    BX2380 vs. BX2680

If you are looking at getting backup power you can look at the MEP series of generators. They are diesel powered and if neeed could be put on a trailer or some come mounted already. I had the MEP-003a. It was a 10kw Onan powered diesel unit built in 1986. However the MEP-803a is the newer...

    ROPS Threaded Hole

+1 my BX1870 had them already on when I looked over it on the lot. So not sure if it came from the factory that way or a dealer installed.

    L3800: can I move a 1200 pound generator?

I have to say you wont be unhappy with the MEP-803a. I used to own the much older MEP-003a. When looking at the specs they are highly underrated. If if i remember correctly they are rated to produce 10k at 8500 feet above sea level and at 120 degrees F. That thing is a beast. It will easily make...

    BX25 Service video

I think the second filter is to protect the injection pump from any potential damage if anything happens to the inline lift pump. However remote that could be. So the filter is just cheap insurance.

New use for old tractor trailer

Nice set up! If you ever needed to extend your pressure washing time all you need is one of the 330 gallon IBC tote tanks. Not sure in your area but I have see on CL or other various web pages for sale. That will really increase your pressure washing time. With them you can use the bottom...

This is not me and I just stumbled across it on my vast hours of clicking around YouTube. I think this is what your attempting to do so it might help. Or I am way off base. Any way intresting video. If you want to see it in action go to the 3:50 mark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3jo-wX_kOQ

    HST fluid change

My BX 1870 build date of 3/16 the manual still has you do an entire fluid change at 50 hours. Going over my BX1870 I asked the mechanic who prepped my machine why you change out the hydro fluid so early. He said the engineering department at Kubota just wants to ensure that any possible...

    Used bx1860 vs new bx1870

I just went through this same back and forth. I was looking at used BX1860/70 from all over. Like you, I would find anything from $4K less to almost what I could get for a new one. Eventually I picked new from a dealer. My particular BX1870 had been on the lot since August and was from what the...

    used bx25

I will second that, but for a new off a dealer lot. I was looking for at 1860/1870's for quite a long time. I decided the new with the 72 month with 10% down and 0% APR financing even with the Kubota insurance was well worth the extra price. Especially after looking at how well they hold there...

Hello, just wanted to introduce myself. I recently got my first Kubota the BX 1870-1. I have been looking around for a bit but wanted to sign up and say hello. I have learned a great deal of info so far and know I have much more to learn. I appreciate all I have learned from all the members...
