    B7100D 4WD transmission fill level

Yes, I do have the WSM (422 page Workshop manual) but it is more of a disassembly/rebuild procedure manual. I found some references to drain plugs in there but nothing about fill plugs or capacities or fluid types to use. I was able to find a B7100 Owner's manual in PDF that was far more...

    B7100D 4WD transmission fill level

Thank you. I saw that but thought it was a breather cap. Another question. I found the 3 sets of drain and fill plugs up front (wheels and diff) but for the rear diff, does that share fluid with the trans? I can't seem to find anything back there that looks like drain or fill. Thanks

    B7100D 4WD transmission fill level

Hi all, How "full" should the transmission fluid be? I removed the cap and see fluid about 1/2 way covering the gears in there. Should the level be all the way to the top or do I need to drain it an put a specified amount back in? Thanks

Kubota B7100 (1979 Gear) 4 lug fronts 6 lug rear

Did you ever find suitable Turf tires for your machine? Sounds like I have the same setup as you and I'm considering swapping to turf tires as well.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Change the engine oil and filter. Test fitted the snow caster to make sure everything was good to go for the impending snow storms...fingers crossed! I wanna chuck some snow!

    Fuel cap issues

I happened to drive past a kind of local Kubota dealer so I stopped in and got one ordered. Picked it up today and at first glance, didn't look like it was going to fit but it worked like a champ!

    Fuel cap issues

So I'm confused. I also need a fuel cap but mine is cracked around the top as if age and being tightened down caused the crack, not so much tank swelling, which would be diameter wise I assume, based on what I'm reading here. This is on a 1979 B7100 with a plastic tank. Which cap do I need...

    PTO shaft removal

Ok, so apparently the PTO shaft/clutch assembly that I had was not the right one for the snow caster (who knows what the modified end on the "wrong" one was used for) but the seller found another shaft with a 3 bolt hole flange on the end that looks like it will bolt right up to the fan pulley...

    PTO shaft removal

So theoretically, I should be able to un-bolt the FEL pump assy from the mount and slide the whole shootin' match (chain couplers, shaft and all) straight off the male spline on the crankshaft? I'm just not sure at this point how things are put together, or supposed to be put together. I see...

    PTO shaft removal

Or does the shaft get coupled via chain (there's one just like the one shown in the pic but close to the engine) and am I missing the teeth on the snow thrower shaft?

    PTO shaft removal

Just picked up this B7100 with a FEL installed and a B748B snow thrower attachment as a side dish. I am a tractor noob (first tractor) so I'm trying figure out how everything goes together in preparation for this winter. (my driveway is about 1000' so the snow thrower will certainly come in...
