    Buying tools

Solid advice, I should just get a good used welder and try to earn the money I wish to spend.

    Buying tools

I am thinking of purchasing a Mig, tig and plasma cutter all at once. I have several projects I need the tools to do properly. I am a reasonably talented welder/fabricator do you think a person could earn enough with those tools to pay for them? I was thinking If I built a land leveler/plane I...

buy new or keep shopping for used?

My experience was similar. I had been shopping for about 3 years. To find something in the cash range I wanted to spend, I didn't get the tractor I wanted. Then I went to a dealership. That changed the game I could get what I wanted for 0%, I could not spend my own money that cheap. I am still...

Pushing the limits of the B2601

I have not received my pallet forks for my 2601 as of yet. I can't wait I have a dozen things to do with the forks when they come in. I have found it can pick up a full bucket of gravel, dirt or manure with proper ballast. I have loaded all four tires and use my box blade with weights to ballast...

    Cheap and easy counter balance

That is very nice. It looks clean and would make a good rear bumper in a tight barn situation.

    loaded tires

I bought for 1 buck a gallon 42 gallons of washer fluid today. I have managed to get 15 gallons in each rear tire. Tomorrow I will put 6 gallons in each front. I used a 5 gallon bucket with a valve stem in the bottom, a hose over it to the tractor stem. Then I put a lid on the bucket with a male...

    loaded tires

Hmmmm, I was looking at 25$ per tire for a tube + labor + the cost of Calcium. I will have to price out the cost of doing this myself. Thanks Guys

    loaded tires

I watched a you tube Vid where a guy loaded his tires with windshield washer fluid. He did not tube the tires first, he just pumped washer fluid in them through the valve stem. It would not be hard at all to plumb a pump up to do this. But will the washer fluid cause problems with the steel rim?

    Trailer Shopping

Well the Trailer issue has solved itself. I had forgotten about a Tandem axle trailer frame I gave to a friend several years ago. He just gave it back for free (same price he paid). It needs a deck and more than likely new tires. But for the most part it should work and the price is right.

    Femco Canopy

Rural King did not have any of the Femco Fiberglass canopies on their shelves. I am a bit reluctant to order it I have found a few less than favorable reviews of the canopy and 207 bucks in steel could build a heck of a nice canopy. I think I will hold off and see what I can dig up for a home...

    Femco Canopy

I am lucky enough to be in Flint Mi. tonight for work. I was going to stop at the local rural king Tomorrow on my way home and see if they have any on the shelf. If I was at home I would take a Tape to the ROPS and see where 52 inches fell.

    Buying a B 2601 Maybe Tomorrow.

I bought that simplicity for 50 bucks. The guy who had it (my cousin) had got it from my great uncle who bought it new. The Simplicity would not run smooth at all. It would run for awile then go rough, die and not restart until it cooled. my first thought was the coil. After replacing the coil...

    Trailer Shopping

Thanks for the replies, I found dual axle landscape trailers for 1450-1800$. But searching craigslist I found this guy for $500. It is rather short but the price is right. I agree being tail heavy in any trailer will cause sway. If I can find a Tandem in my price range I will go that way...

    Trailer Shopping

I am looking to purchase a trailer for the B2601. I am considering a single axle 3500# units. I do have concerns about it being single axle but I am towing with a half ton 6cyl truck so I am watching weight. The question is does anybody use one of these style of utility trailers to haul a 1600...
