    L185DT: Wrong bolt in transmission?

Find the diagram that shows the reverse idler and the shaft it rides on. I'll bet that bolt is a retainer for that shaft. When properly installed it fits over a flat spot on said shaft and keeps it in place. You may need to remove a shift cover to see the shaft down in there. You may need to...

M7040 - AC works but blows hot after a while

All sorts of "possibles" mentioned, but before changing anything I would pinch off one of the heater hoses and try running like that for a while. See what difference that makes.

    L3901DT Hydraulics Not Working

I certainly wouldn't pull the pump and start tearing it apart just yet. It's not all that uncommon for a pump to lose prime sitting for months unused. I would first try loosening some lines on the pressure side of the pump and starting the engine for a few seconds to see what that gets you. If...

    Hydraulic issues.

The ones that matter are those numbered 1,2, and 7. Which one goes to the pump? Where on the tractor do 1 and 2 go?

    M4700 hydraulic pump replacement question

Not to worry. It will take care of itself. Just check your engine oil dipstick after you run it a few minutes.

    M125x won't shift above 4th gear

I take it you agree that it's still a calibration issue? That's the solution here? Maybe you're right. I'm not saying calibration wouldn't be in order once the problem is solved, I just don't believe calibration will solve it. I hope we find out some day.

Did I get a bad piston ring from Kubota?

I see this as just another example of why each and every part needs to be individually scrutinized before assembly any more, no matter what supplier you get engine parts from. You can't trust anything to correct without checking it first.

    M125x won't shift above 4th gear

So both you guys think this a just a calibration issue? I'm not saying you're wrong, just that I don't see it that way. From what I can tell this transmission is (in some ways) similar to the 16 X 16 transmission Ford used in some of their early powershift forty series tractors. Four speeds in...

    V2203 engine parts diagrams

I have an upcoming project involving bobcat 7753 skidsteer with what I believe is a V2203 engine with water in the oil. Is there an online parts book of that engine available or maybe a PDF I can access? Maybe even a WSM? Some second hand information mentions a freeze plug under the timing...

    m7950 loss of steering

Maybe some of the resident ex spurts here will understand your terminology but I'm too stupid. Can you expand a bit on "just turn the wheel and shut down there is no resistance"???

Failure? More likely ice in the cable.

540 to 1000 rpm pto conversion

I hope you share the results if/when you get this assembled. I must admit I'm curious as to how all of it will fit together.

    Hydraulic Filter thread info

I would also suggest you loosen the hose connection on the suction tube before you attempt to put the screen back in. If you break the hose loose and gain some freedom of movement on the banjo end you may have an easier time getting the screen threaded back in without cross threading it again.

B2601 shuts off after PTO has been engaged

The engine stop solenoid won't care if you're in the seat or not. It won't stop the engine until the 12v signal to it gets taken away. You can always add in a "quickie" jumper wire to the solenoid circuit and keep it powered up that way. Then see if it stays running or not. I doubt there's...

B2601 shuts off after PTO has been engaged

Don'r rule out this little gem. It plays a part in all this too. You can change switches and wires all day and still have the same problem if this is where it's coming from. https://www.messicks.com/part/6c190-55513

    L3710 HST Weird starting issue

The "no dash lights' condition pretty much rules out safety switches and related circuits. It smacks of battery, battery cable/ground/power connection somewhere. I would revisit that side of things. Where the ground cable bolts to the tractor would be a good starting point.

    L5240 PTO shaft

I saw the tractor today. It looks like nothing more than the wiper seal is coming apart and partially showing around the shaft. No sign of damage yet, the bearing and shaft are sound. No leaks at the shaft seal yet. I stopped by the dealer and ordered a seal, wiper, and an O ring for the...

    L5240 PTO shaft

I honestly can't answer that. I haven't actually seen the tractor yet. I was just informed today that the PTO shaft was moving around" like there was a bearing problem. I was looking at the parts breakdown to see what was involved and noticed the coupler. It doesn't seem to be necessarily held...
