    Hi do you need to do anything to the head shim? Paint or just install ? Also bought new head has valve guides installed will they need to be reamed or should they be done thanks

    VIC thanks for the reply what about the short block it has 3900+ hrs on the meter was told it was rebuilt about 1000 hrs ago i think it dropped a valve the reason it was rebuilt ? the engine was over heated from the guy i bought it from said it was low on oil about 2 1/2 qts the head cracked ...

    L225 cracked head replacement

    Hi new to OTT i bought a 1976 L225 with cracked head im going to replace with a new head ? is can i use the good parts from the old head ? 2 valves need replaced or should i just get all new parts ? also with a new head do i need to rebuild the lower end ?
