rear tail light connector to caab harness

I had to replace the left rear tail light assembly on my L4240 due to corrosion. During the process of separating the M/F plastic connector ,, which is up under fender where it can get constantly soaked and corroded,, I wrecked the 4 blade connector, The new assembly comes with a 6" 4 wire...

    Radial tires

They are forecasting a 3-5" quick mover in CT Sunday which is ok. That will give me more time to bond with my CrossGrips. ( stupid guy thing ) Botabart, if you can swing it for the radials, go for it. You won't be thinking about the money when you aren't spinning, making a mess, burning less...

    Radial tires

Botabart There are a few ways to calculate the % lead . All use the RC and the IAR. The easiest way is using Titans website lead calculator. Do the math by hand if you prefer, then maybe check yourself on Titans lead/lag app. Don't quite understand why Kubota is so reluctant on posting the...

    Radial tires

Hi Botabart, Actually I learned quite a bit @ tractor tires and why choosing the correct tire size for a MFWD tractor is so important. As it worked out, the metric size equivalent was the same as the eom sae size. i.e. a 16.9-24 Titan is a 460/70R24. Had to purchase new 16x8 Kubota wheels for...

    Radial tires

I was able to get my 4240 shod with Michelin Crossgrips to help my snow removal hobbie. Had to buy new 16x8 front wheels to replace the oem 16.5 wheels. 250/80R16 fronts and 460/70R24 rears. I had @ 9" of snow to deal with from WS Orlena and using the Crossgrips for the first time, OMG, Shut...

    Radial tires

I have a Michelin CrossGrip radial tire package lined up for my 4240 hstc for snow removal. I'm getting an education on tractor tires. There's a lot to consider when choosing the correct tire and size. You must know your main purpose, the mfwd inter axle ratio, rim width, rolling circumference...

    Does tire grooving really work?

D2Cat, Thanx for the idea of adding a parallel groove . That's the good thing about ACAD. If you want to make a change just change it. I suppose the parallel groove would make more of a nugget which I think would improve the traction of the R4 SLICKS I run now.

    Does tire grooving really work?

Pokey1416 Might be a good idea for my old eyes too. Was thinking about a white tire crayon but the Sharpie sounds good.

    Does tire grooving really work?

Chin, You did a nice job on those grooves. OEM? Noticed the long groove goes straight thru the entire lug. I like that . Have you used them in the snow? like the double groove on the wider part of the lug

    Does tire grooving really work?

I'm glad we are talking about grooving R4's again, also. I think I have become obsessed with the idea as some members say it helps. Anything that can help an R4 in the snow is good. I ordered an Ideal groover with #4 and#5 blades. On the rears I like the two groove method. But I am thinking...

    Does tire grooving really work?

So grooving R4's work. Great idea. Nice job you guys did. Another problem with R4"s is they are a directional tire. I'm frequently in reverse using my 3pt SB and snow pusher with a backdrag edge. The R4's are just not cutting it in the snow. I'm clearing 30 driveways a storm so i can't afford...

OEM Work lights to LED conversion

I got over 6 hrs seat time at night dealing the slush and water saturated snow 12/5/20 using the 4 LED work lights I recently installed on my L4240hstc. Compared to oem lights, much more illumination about the work area. Did not notice any glare from falling rain and snow. I might try rotating...

OEM Work lights to LED conversion

If price = quality then I'm on track. I suppose that is not true with everything. We'll see what happens. There are a million different LED's out there to choose from. I took a chance and paid dearly for them.

Hey Orange1forme, I'll keep your suggestion about line of sight in mind. I'm thinking I'll have to tweak the angle downward a tad.

OEM Work lights to LED conversion

Hello Chuckinnj, Thanx for the idea with the yellow lens or goggles and compliment. I think I have some yellow range glasees that might work. Looks like lack of heat could be an issue. Time will tell, hoping for some snow.
