    New BX 23S

Based on the numbers above, the engine was manufactured sometimes in August 2017, so the tractors a month or so after. Since you said you purchased the tractor in September of 2018 it means it was sitting somewhere for a year. Since most of them sit outside, this explains the fading on the panels.

    Reserve Tank Cap

BTW, based on the tracking info, since there is no return address, they are coming from TRIBUNE PUBLISHING - NORTHLAKE CORP, CAROL STREAM ,IL so it looks like Kubota is using a third party to send them out.

    New BX 23S

So did you get this resolved? BTW, since you got the hood open, what was the serial number on the engine, thus mfg date?

    New BX 23S

shiraz627 is correct, Engine Serial# and tractor serial# are different. Kubota uses their engines in many different applications so equipment and engines do not share the same number. That's virtually standard across the industry. As to tractor Serial number that you are referring to, you...

    New BX 23S

The issue with model year is somehow correct, but not always. If you happen to find few years old BX25 or BX xx70 model and purchased it today or next year then few years later tried to sell it as 2018/2019 model year that would be hard as everyone knows B23s and BX xx80 was already out for a...

    New BX 23S

First look for the serial number, that should tell you year and month it was manufactured so you will have a general idea how long it sat outside. Most of the tractors at the lots are stored outside in the elements, but having sun damage indicates that it was sitting somewhere for a while. If...

Danger! Stop using your bx (and other models)

Same letter here few days ago on my BX purchased back in 2014. Inspected the cap and found no issue.

    BX1880 or BX2380?

If you decided to trade it in, check how much extra would 2680 be over 2380. It gives you few extra ponies and a bit extra weight. When I was getting mine few years ago, I was debating between BX2370 and BX2670 and after testing, I'm glad I went with BX2670. I never had a chance to test...

    Pricing

Was that OTD price? I visited a local dealer in ATL area to get some maintenance items for my BX and asked about new BX23s. Only 2 on the lot and the sales guy was willing to let it go for $19.5 plus tax, so you are right in line. OF course, we were just talking, so could be that he would go...

    Boosted my hydro pressure. BX23S

Just did the same thing on my 2014 BX2670. I was surprised that pressure did not vary much between idle and 3000RPM. Roughly 50PSI difference. Started with about 1770PSI at 3000RPM, added one .4mm and one .1mm shim and ended up slightly below 2000 PSI. I guess my starting pressure was not...

    wet dirt leveling

Nothing wrong here. Yeah, South Houston is very flat, but North Houston has some serious hills. Have you ever been here? :D JK, I guess I have to update my location in a signature. Used to live in Houston TX, but couple of years back moved to Atlanta, GA, very different terrain. :)

    wet dirt leveling

Yeah, working it wet just pisses it off, but also making it dry to be workable is tough. Seems that we never have more than 5 days between the rain, and even 5 days is not enough to make it dry to be workable. MMM is removed, so should be a bit better. I had my neighbor install a silt fence...

    wet dirt leveling

Hey guys, My neighbor is building a detached garage on his property and he had a bunch of dirt delivered to level the yard. Unfortunately we had couple of hard rainstorms here and he did not have a silt fence installed. Estimated 6 to 8 dump trucks of dirt washed down the hill into the small...

    Keep it in 4WD!

Funny thing is, it does not matter how long you have been operating your tractor, sooner or later crap like this will happen. It is just a matter of time. I'm sure many of us use front loader without ballast for light things. All it takes is a little slope and a little moisture and you are...

    Keep it in 4WD!

So today used my loader to dump some garden stuff down the enbankement. Once I pulled up to the edge, the tractor kept on going. Hit the brakes and nothing! Once the tractor started to tip, I dropped the front loader and was able to stop. All this because I forgot to put the tractor in 4WD...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Simple operator error. I have not seen it first hand when it happen, just after the fact, but the user parked the tractor on the side slope to use the backhoe. The operator was wearing shorts and somehow the boom swing lever got stuck in operators shorts leg while she was moving around the...

    B2620 tipped over, now smoking

In diesel usually white smoke means unburned fuel durning startup. Blue smoke means burned oil. It is possible that there is still oil in the exhaust. How many hours did he run it since he flipped it? Check the oil for coolant or fuel and check the coolant for oil. If those two check out...

    Build me a ripppper

Yes, that's the one. I saw that as well. There is no way this thing can handle 8000 LB Looks like the main frame is made from 1/8" steel that is fairly soft. And at total weight of 42lb, that's preatty light. Heavier duty hitches are constructed from 3/16" or even 1/4" tubing and come at...
