    Tach stopped working

On my L3800, my tach and hour meter stopped working today so I searched around and it seems likely that the most probable cause is a broken cable. I have been trying to find the part number on Kubota's site but have not been successful. Does anyone know the part number and also could there be...

    Hydraulic hoses …

I had 4 go this summer and my L3800 is only 8 years old. The belts were all on my BH 77 backhoe but I have never lost one on the tractor itself.

    Hydraulic Issue

I find that with my vehicles if I can describe the symptoms accurately and precisely my mechanic is almost always right in his diagnosis. On line clarity is even more important. Anyway I finally got the coupler apart and it looked fine and was functioning properly so I cleaned it and snapped it...

    Hydraulic Issue

Yeah I think you nailed it. The flow seems to be fine all the way to the return line and even though I disconnected the return line on both ends I can't get this line uncoupled. It is acting as if there is pressure but there isn't. " most likely at the coupler between the backhoe return...

Thank you so much Dan! I really don't understand this stuff at all. Yes I did replace one of those hoses. The top one in the first picture. I will take a close up and post again. There are two hoses to/from the hoe. Here are the pics

    Hydraulic level

If it the background isn't bright white then the fluid is over the glass. The fluid is a little darker and the background is very white. What I have done is to drain the fluid by loosening the hst filter until you see the level drop down. It would be easier to drain it from the drain plug but...

    New tractor with scratches

I keep it under a lean to shed but it is outside a lot and often I just leave it out. The paint has faded and I use it in the woods a lot so there are scratches from bushes and chains and signs of use especially around the bucket. I follow the maintenance schedule and try to keep it looking...

    New tractor with scratches

I try to keep mine nice and it is in excellent shape but the paint is a giveaway that it is 6 years old and works pretty hard.

    New tractor with scratches

Yeah I think they are meant to easily paint unlike a car with clearcoat. Shake a can of orange paint, spray it and you are good to go until your next scratch which won't be long.

    New tractor with scratches

They will fix the scratches as they should and then you are good to go. I went through the same thing and they simply fixed the scratches. Everyone was happy . They also painted over the sight window for my hst oil while they were at it though lol.

What About Your Tractor Makes You Swear?

It is a good thing to onl have such minuscule complaints but here goes: 1. The hst sight glass is annoying 2. The turn signal switch is the perfect spot for your knee to inadvertently turn it on. After 6 years that is all I got. Oh wait I have another one and it is much more important. The...

    Fuel can options

I don't know for sure but I doubt it. I have never had a rust issue but I keep them full. What I like about them is that they do not pour until you squeeze the lever on the handle and they don't leak even if they fall over. You tip the can put the nozzle in the tank and squeeze, no mess.
