    Split brakes and differential lock

Was wondering if I could stop the default power wheel from spinning while applying power to the other wheel. Trying to alternate traction plus tire steer in a muddy steep location. I think the answer is no, but thought I’d ask. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Split brakes and differential lock

On a GST can you use spit brakes and rear wheel differential lock at the same time? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Rear Remotes

Thanks for your replies and explanation. I’m relieved that this is typical. This saw is attached to the bucket. I can safely get to limbs around fields up to 20’ in the air without getting a head full of sawdust, and jumping out of the way of falling branches. Hydraulic unit is the only one...

    Rear Remotes

Is it typical that the rear remotes and FEL do not function at the same time? Bought a hydraulic limb saw and can not raise or lower the FEL when the rear remote that drives the chain saw is engaged. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

OEM Rear Wheel Weights For L3240 with R-4 Tires/Wheels

If you need more weight due to tire spin, you might try lowering your air pressure. Mine calls for 20 PSI, but I run about 16 and it has made a significant improvement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Welcome to the forum. I'm in NOVA full time, with a family farm near the NC border in Patrick County. I usually take 29 and set the cruise control just at speed limit. Anything over draws draws blue lights. Every time I take 81 it rains, and then it's a roll of the dice what you will find...

WTB L3301 Turf Tires & Rims

Air pressure might be too high. I leave mine 3-4 pounds below recommended on the rear and that greatly increases traction. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Fluid filled tires and water crossing.

Thanks for the water warnings. I'll check fluids and intake locations for contamination.

Made it across fine. Having more trouble trying to figure out how to upload the video!

    rpm to operate tractor..

I match rpm to proper PTO speed when mowing etc. With FEL work, a high RPM makes for a jerky response with lots of bounce. FEL work is more about feel, especially when moving and operating the FEL. I'm about half throttle.

Fluid filled tires and water crossing.

Wow! Such depth on this question. Amazing! Here is my take, although a little more simple. Air like in any PFD "personal flotation device" helps things float in liquid. Same goes for blow up pool toys. So a tire filled with air would want to float. A tire filled with water, or some...

Fluid filled tires and water crossing.

I have an L4330 with fluid filled rear tires. Does this help, hinder or have no impact when crossing a moderate flowing river about 2' plus deep? I also have a FEL and bush hog attached. River usually is 8" to 12" deep and never a problem.

    FEL Use/Damage

If your FEL is jerky when you raise and lower it, your RPM's might be too high. Tone it down to the point that the movement is smooth, then add RPM's if it bogs a little. A lower gear will dramatically increase you scoop ability.

    RPMs Vs Speed Chart

Do you have a toggle button that tells you PTO speed, mph, and gear you are in? My 4330 has one and I use it often.

    FEL Use/Damage

Using the bucket to compact trash in a dumpster! Had the front end of the tractor tight to the side of the dumpster so I could reach towards the middle and push down construction trash. When I pushed down something caught the edge of the plate that shields the hydraulic lines, broke the plate...

    GST forward and reverse

Is it nessasary to use the clutch going from forward to reverse and vice versa? I don't need to clutch to change gear speed. If clutching is not needed, I assume you would need to be stopped first. I have always clutched, and will sometimes do so just prior to stopping to save time. I will use...

    Rotary Cutter Blade tip speed

Not vital. Typical recommended speed is 540 RPM at the PTO. I will run it a little faster some times, but not often. I will also run it a little slower depending on the situation. If the PTO is to slow for the tractor travel speed you will get an inferior and uneven cut. There should be a...
