    Contemplating B2650 purchase

Looking for a new tractor. I have a B7200 now but it lacks the power I need for doing work around our 12 acre parcel. I only really maintain about 6 acres, mostly bush hogging, landscape work, building things, moving things around, road maintenance, and the like. We have some hilly spots and...

B7200 HST has more power in reverse

I was doing some bush hogging with my B7200 HST using a 48" bush hog rotary mower and noted that in some spots going up hill the tractor would lose steam, stop, and whine when I tried to keep going. I then would go in reverse up the same slope and the tractor would make it fine. What gives...

Replacement PTO Shaft, Shear Pin Diameter

Just picked up a SQ48-3 bush hog to go behind my Kubota B7200. The hog has got some miles on her but for $300 I thought I would go for it. Gearbox is tight with no leaks which is a positive. I spent some time working on getting the PTO shaft apart, dried grease had glued the two halves...

    B7200 FEL Bucket R&R

Working on getting my B7200 back together. I decided to replace the lower wear points where the FEL arm pins to the bucket. The lower holes were about 1/8" out. I cut some 1.5" x 1.5" x .250" squares and drilled them out. Nice and tight now. Put some chain hooks on too.

    Millermatic 212

I am supposed to pick up my miller 212 today, I can't wait. I was going to go with the 211 unit but decided to step up. 211 had a 30% duty cycle while the 212 has a 60% duty cycle. I figured this is something I will have for years so best to get the bigger model.

Ideas for speed bumps on gravel road

I am looking for ways to control the speed of traffic on the easement across my land. I was thinking about building speed bumps from angle iron & flat strap and then securing them to my road with spikes. The road is crushed asphalt. Any ideas? I purchased a set of plastic speed bumps that are...

    48" Gearmore Rotary Cutter Price

I have been looking for a 4 foot rotary cutter for my B7200 and one popped up on Craigslist. The price was $875 for about a month or so which I thought was very expensive. I looked today and the price was lowered to $675. It looks like it only has light surface rust and looks to be in good...

    Honing hydraulic cylinders

I am rebuilding my hydraulic cylinders and I want to hone them before I install the new seals. I plan on using a flex hone but my only issue is the hone is not long enough. I am looking for a drill extension but all I am finding are extensions with the hex adapter in the end for quick bits. Any...

    b7200 PTO seal replacement

I am going to replace the PTO seal on my tractor. I have a question regarding the PTO rear cover. Does the PTO rear plate require a paper gasket or will ultra black RTV sealant work in its place? I can make a paper gasket to fit the plate but I think the RTV may seal better. Thoughts?

1640 QA loader not so QA

I bought a b7200 about a year ago and I have been fixing all the issues the PO neglected. One of the issues is that he welded the QA loader into the loader frame pockets so it cant be removed. Not sure why he would do it. It might be because the wedge bolts from Kubota are about $30 a piece...

    3pt rake question

Looking for a rake for my B series. I want to be able to use it for leaf and tree bark clean up. I don't need something that really digs into the soil a few inches, just something that profiles the surface. Any ideas? Would my best bet be a landscape rake with gauge wheels? Maybe just fabricate...

    B7200 check valve swap

I have a Kabota B 7200 with a hydrostatic transmission. I want to swap the forward and reverse check valves because I'm losing push power in foward. What goes into this? Reverse has quite a bit more power than forward so I think this is the problem. Is it just a matter of threading them out and...
