The Kale is doing well. That rain helped.
Just a lil guy. Wonder where momma has it hidden.
Cherries are ripe
Serviceberries are ripe to (or Snozzberries as my kids call them)
And had some of the wildflowers actually flower. Thought they were all duds.
Youre not. Everything for ratings goes off of HP....but torque is pretty important too.
Like I said I spin the 62" gear tiller no problem in rocky, rooty soil.

Go to run the tiller through the newly plowed expansion. Then worked it over with the landscaper rake. Man that was rough. So many rocks and roots. Its still not where it needs to be to plant, but its getting better.
Material the landscape rake pulled out. I had to constantly pull the...
Theyre made to run at PTO speed all day, every day. If it wouldnt, send it back. My .02.
Ive run mine at PTO speed from day 1, like you I had things to do that needed PTO speed.
Currently at 61hrs and running like a top.
Thanks. Yah these have been "surviving" in a big planter pot for the past 3 years. This is the first year they'll get to spread their legs. So, ill see what they do.
I run a 62" gear driver tiller on my 3301. It runs like a champ.
The engine in these is very torquey. The 3301 is rated at 80ft/lbs or something like that.
Everything planted is sprouting.
Looks like something got my two almost ripe strawberries. Mouse or chipmunk maybe.
Need to do some weeding between the sunflower rows.
The strawberries are growing. The kids are really enjoying checking on them and watching how much they grow and change.
They cant wait to pick the first ripe ones.
Ran the tiller once over the raked area
Plowed up a new section. Before anyone says how bad the plowing looks. Yah I know. That had to be the worst chunk of ground i have plowed to date. Numerous big rocks. Lots of vines. Small rocks getting jammed between the plower and cutting disk. Ugh...
Went over the unplanted section of field a bunch of times with the landscaper rake to try and get some of the rock out. So much rock. I think ill hit that section again with the tiller. See if I can put some of the smaller rocks under the soil.

Rye - sprouted
Oat/FieldPea - sprouted
Sunflowers - sprouted
Wildflowers - maybe? I don't know what the sprouts look like because it was numerous varieties. So might just be weeds.
All the strawberry plants are flowering. A good sign.
Just ordered a bunch more seed for veggies. We'll...
Yah....mine are all granite or decomposing granite.
--edit--
I got distracted and posted then forgot about it.
I do not have a box blade. Still waiting on that one. Though since my driveway is paved, its kinda low on the list atm.
I was thinking more if a pine straw rake would get those...
Thanks. Im not sure how deep rooted fruit trees are. I grew up near orchards and would always seem at least one tree a year look like it was pushed over.
I know! Medium sized rocks are one thing.....small rocks that are impossible to mechanically pick up or move and large ones that you need...
