What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Finally today, almost 4 weeks after I bought a used BX25, I got to snowblow a few inches (about 4 inches) of snow. Of course, when one buys a new toy for snowblowing, it never snows - took almost 4 weeks before I could use the machine... Anyway, my neighbor with his JD lawnmower machine plowing...

    Broke on Sunday?

Check the uploaded manual on Kubotabooks. I just uploaded it last week... http://www.kubotabooks.com/AutoIndex/index.php?dir=Snowblowers/&file=BX2750D%20OWNERS%20MANUAL.pdf Parts are listed there. Mind you, there are a few different versions of the blower manual. This one is for blowers with...

    MX5100HST wont start

There would be two connectors (or a twin connector) plugging into the seat switch (not sure of exact connector of your model). You need to short out the connectors on the cable (not the seat) to test if the fault is a faulty switch.

    MX5100HST wont start

Is the seat switch normally open when no occupant? If so, you may have to jumper the wire going to controller logic to pretend to "close" the switch when seated. (if faulty switch...)

    Storage boxes

Local TSC stores have a small metal ammo box for sale at around $13 this week, just bought one. Well made, mint condition and good rubber seal (not that it needs to be waterproof ;) ). Will be mounting it on the lower ROPS bar later this week for spare shear bolts and wrenches (hopefully...).

    push shipping container

I have my doubts. It all depends on how much friction the container has vs the BX25. The BX25 loaded is about 2500-2700lbs (with FEL and BH). Pushing 8300lbs may be a stretch for the little machine. Others may pipe in with different answers, but 4 small tires vs metal skids on the same surface...

    need a new rectifier

Those will all work. However, need to make sure the bare bridge module is mounted on some heatsink, perhaps even the same metal bracket that has existing diodes will do. The 100A module is probably ok on its own, as current should be a lot less

    need a new rectifier

Looks like 4 diodes to me. Two are facing the inside, on an insulated plate(s). The other two are pressed into the actual metal bracket. Regardless, some alternator repair shop should have those diodes available.

    need a new rectifier

I agree with BXRAY, the old B6000 manual states it is a full wave rectifier. Not sure if it is all one module or 4 individual diodes in bride configuration. If individual diodes, you can remove each and test with an ohm meter. If an actual bridge rectifier module, you have to replace the entire...

am i in the right forum?

What kind of rectifier is this? To my knowledge, very few tractors would have an actual "rectifier" (unless part of an alternator). A rectifier is like a diode, controlling current flow in one direction only. Best to explain a bit better what this rectifier is, where it is located (or how it is...

    Tsc tractor hydraulic oil

Hard to read that last bottom line on the back. Says something about 1974 or older. Then says something about newer tractors (after 1974) should use a "Super S Premium" oil instead. Key word there is "Premium" May be ok for flushing, but I would worry about using it permanently in any newer tractor.

How to Determine Year tractor was made?

Call your local dealer, they can look it up. Or, find the engine serial number. There are many Kubota lookups for the engines. Add a few months to the engine date, and that would be an approximation as to when the machine was built/shipped.

Thanks RCW, that is just what I was looking for.

Shear bolt fixing BX2750D and questions

The old bolts were not shear bolts, just regular GR5 and GR8 x 2-1/2 inch. I know they were the wrong ones, that is why I replaced them with factory ones, for now. Yes, I've tried making my own. The internal diameter of the necked down part on both factory bolts is close to 1/4". I put my bolts...

Shear bolt fixing BX2750D and questions

Bump... No answers to the questions for the BX2750D: Questions: 1) Can the gearbox support bracket (to top of blower) be adjusted to move it all forward just a little bit? 2) What oil grade is required for the (blower) gearbox. I might as well drain that and replace it with proper oil as well...

Shear bolt fixing BX2750D and questions

Well, having bought a used (2013) BX25 with 2750D blower, I decided it would be wise to replace all existing shear bolts with factory parts. Auger was no problem. Previous owner used regular Gr5, and they were all twisted, but never sheared. Next was the fan bolt, which was difficult to remove...

    Wheel Spacer-what to buy?

Try Bro-Tek. They are actually located in New Brunswick. Shipping is reasonable, but of course you have to pay the HST on all of it. I just ordered both skid plates for my BX25 ($280USD), final cost to me is just under $410CDN to my door. Work out the math yourself and see how it looks...

Confused about model BX25D, more like BX25?

Well, I just bought a used 2013 BX25D. At least that is what the manual and tag on the tractor say. However, it still has the brake on the right side (BX25D shows left side brake in most web searches). But, again, it has the Kubota skid plate on the bottom (BX25D "feature"?). Most (all?) BX25D...
