    Arctic Cat...RIP

The problem around SouthWest Pennsylvania has been the lack of snow over the last decade. My local Arctic Cat dealer quit selling them 5 years ago for that reason. Of course I bought their top of the line sled 7 years ago and have barely had the opportunity to use it. Maybe soon.

    Husqvarna 550xp mark 2 or Stihl ms261

I have had my MS462 with the self tuning feature for several years and have experienced no problems. A few times in order to tune it you run it wide open for about 45 seconds and that does the trick. It is a ferocious wood eating beast. Its best to operate it while wearing a flannel shirt and a...

    To my friends

Today is my birthday and I am initiating a new tradition. Every year starting now I will be removing a year from my stated age. I believe this will reduce stress and enhance my sense of well being . Who knows in twenty years maybe I will get married (again) and start a family. Something to look...

Wood siding for new barn or something else?

I am in the process of having the southern facing and deteriorated side of my large barn refurbished as I type this. The very experienced contractor whom I have used before was very particular about sourcing the proper "beautiful Hemlock". Procuring the wood has taken several months. He sourced...

    mx5400 vs m5660

In my opinion once you have had a tractor with a hydrostatic transmission it would be very difficult to consider anything else. Its so easy to use that with minimal training your wife and children can also use it without your having to worry too much.

    Help with Kubota L3608

Maybe the dealer will help you out given the circumstances. It sounds like there might be an obstruction in the fuel line. Try removing the line at the filter and make sure the fuel is flowing freely into a receptacle of your choosing. If its not attempt to clear the line by blowing compressed...

    Everything on Everything Attachments

Yes they are open. They have a Facebook account/page where Ted the owner has been communicating updates and answering questions for a couple of months. I would not hesitate to order from them. They no longer require money up front on products to be shipped months later like in the old days.

    Hydraulic HST filter change

I also had a hard time removing my filters and went to the local auto parts store and bought a removal wrench with some nasty teeth that did the trick. Under $20 from what I remember.

Wood stoves......My favorite part of having a "cottage"......

Consider building yourself a Finnish Sauna. Look up Kuuma sauna stove. I use mine weekly and love it. Thats an old milk house that I built it in, about 10 years ago. I too am a city slicker and share your love of wood heat at the cabin.

    What would you do?

I am 6'2" and felt cramped on the BX so I went with the B2601. I mostly use it mow my 2.2 acre yard and move firewood around. I could not be happier. There is nothing that the BX couldn't do other than accommodate my sprawling lankiness comfortably. I would consider an L or LX series if I were...
