Kubota Blue/Gray Paint code - XO Rust

I have used both prosumer and Pro with not much difference to the average user. On the Orange: Not as hard to find good grades of it. The Valspar paint from TSC, Orscheln, Farm supply specialty companies has a good blend of Kubota #1 and #2 Orange. Look around and try to find the...

    tractor tires

Use the same as you put in the radiator for your temperature zone. I think recommended by Antifreeze MFG is 50/50 or 60/40. Be cautious of any leaks or spills as it is toxic to humans and animals. (might even be EPA reportable depending on where it happens) Safest and maybe cheaper is RV...

Kubota Blue/Gray Paint code - XO Rust

I have had some pm's and emails on the paint I had mixed for the 70-80's Blue/gray and figured I'd just share it with anyone who cared to use it. XO Rust makes a professional grade paint as well as good quality Prosumer product. I used this on the B6000e featured in Mr. K's lead article on...

    Kubota's for Work or Play?

I think I prefer to use it as a wheel barrow with a soft seat and a motor more than anything. My back says anything that has two handles and only one wheel is a safety concern. Using the Kubota to do my work/play allows me to be able to play while I work!

    Paint Question

Gee I am blushing, :o Thanks Mr K, Trail dust! I was happy with the b6000 final product. It made an impression on my nephew so much that he had to buy it and keep in in the family. Had 3 people wrestling me for it when it sold. The one with the badge won. Det. Lt. Ade has in under lock...

Having done the stripper (paint prep) - sand blasting - complete sand down by hand - scuff pads.........for the past 30 years of tractor refurbs..... I just this evening bit the bullet and the B6100 refurb is headed to the powdercoat oven. One of my customers recently installed an oven big...

    B6100 won`t keep running

I have always thought that more conditioner is better too, but, my service mechanic for our heavy equipment through work (one of the largest equipment rental companies in the US) advises that too much of the wrong kind of additives will hinder the anti-gelling process. Hesuggests that the...

B6100 7100 brake shaft differential gear replacement

Loader brackets down, Brakes off, axle off. New pinion shaft, bearings and oil seals, brake shoes. A little permatex and back together like a charm! Didn't know new brakes would stop this machine so fast. Found some condensation in the lower unit so it was time for new fluid anyway...

    B6100 DT Question

Yes that weight was original to this B6000E. I bought that unit out of Pennsylvania and had it shipped to Kansas. The front weight was about 35 lbs. It was available as an option at one time but unless you can find one in a salvage yard, you are probably out of luck. I'd try asking the...

    Sticky Differential lock pedal

Couple things there from experience. :( Check your service manual to see if there is an internal spring. There is a remote chance it is worn or damaged. The manual may have some trouble shooting fixes for this issue. Depending on your tractor (let us know what model so others can look in on...

B6100 7100 brake shaft differential gear replacement

Just dug into the right side brake cover on the b6100 tonight to find the problem of why the right brake would not grab. The differential axle shaft drive coming up to the brake drum is broken directly behind the drum. I looked in WSM but found nothing for advice. :( Maybe Vic or...

    B6100 front Pto shaft size issue 27mm x 22 vs. 18mm x 22 spline

Live wire from TBN and I made all the connections and measurements between out tractors and found the 27 mm fits a Kubota B7100 and the 18 mm fits the B6100. He now has the Shaft for the B7100 that he has been searching for - for a couple years. Are these sites not great to help get the right...

Vic, It still appears to be 22 spline. Morton had some info I looked at on the "b7100 pto impossible to find" link and this question is for the 6100 tractor. Live wire from TBN and I made all the connections and measurements between out tractors and found the 27 mm fits a Kubota B7100 and...

    B6100 front Pto shaft size issue 27mm x 22 vs. 18mm x 22 spline

I have a B6100 I need to attach a hydraulic pump to the front PTO which is connected to the crankshaft via a shaft/crank pulley adapter. Looking for correct part number shaft/crank pulley adapter/electric PTO. These parts ARE supposed to be available from Kubota as I am told but no one can...

    head lights

Use LED if possible. Your dynamo only produces 10 amps total load so don't over build your conversion. Some auto parts stores also sell some quartz units that can be adapted to the housing in the Kubie hood. My car quest guy found me a couple new harness / sockets that I cut tabs off and...
