    Switching Tire Types - L2501

Hello All - I have put in an offer on a house that is quite different in the landscape then my current place. My current place is nearly all woods and nearly flat, and the new place has about 3 acres of woods, but the majority is mostly made up of rolling prairie/field and a very large grass...

Need chains for R4 industrial tires on a BX23S...

If it even matters much. How many psi do you need to deflate the rears? I'm lazy. Don't own a compressor. Unless you count the hand held SnowJoe. I remember using the manual tire pump to top off the pressure on the old NH. Took way too many pumps to just move the gauge a pound or two PSI...

Ag wheels for my 1990 B7200 HST 4wd?

Unless you get chains similar to these ... https://www.tirechainsrus.com/product/aquiline-talon-tractor-tire-chains/?attribute_pa_full-size=9-5-16 If your plowing a driveway most people are happier with the turfs on smaller tractors ... I found regular "ladder" chains just slipped down...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Solid choice. Our Sure Trac has never let us down and tows like a dream. Good call on the extra D-rings: it never fails that you always seem to need one where you don't have it! Having stake pockets on the sides and being able to use the D-ring inserts wherever you need them is a game changer...

    Snow chains…do I need them?

Not if he has ballast filled tires.

    Loaded tire air pressure

...It will pull a bladeful of asphalt millings uphill (in 4WD) with no slippage of the wheels/tires at all. With snow, there is no need for tire chains. I usually run in second gear at 2000-2500 RPM when I'm blading... YMMV. I am prompted by this thread to put a mark on the rim/sidewall so...

Need chains for R4 industrial tires on a BX23S...

BX2380 with R4 and 2" spacer user. Consider chains over studs for winter use. Assuming the BX23s is similar design. If so, check out the driver's right inside the fender towards the front clearance. Attaching an image posted on another tread regarding chains. Space between the top of the...

...new tractor? Loader? Snowblower? Mower of some kind? Blade? Your description is a little vague as to what you will exactly be using it for other than driving up and down a slope. My driveway is at least that steep and I use a set of ladder tire chains on my turf tires in the winter to snowblow.

    Studs for winter.

I'd try both studs and sipes on the front to help with steering on slopes.

Diamond or 2 link ladder chains?

Gravel driveway. Thanks jimh406. Will pass on the diamond chains. As noted here and other threads a bit concerned with the minimal clearance for the right side tire. There is about 1" between a bar that protects the control system for the FEL and other functions. Left side has a minimum of...

    Studs for winter.

"down the rabbit hole" watching and reading various online reviews. Seems like the people spinning out their studs are using the inexpensive "KoldKutter" style studs. The ones that look like a wood or sheet metal screw with a stud head. People using the auger threaded style (Maxi, iGrip, and...

First winter for new tractor owner...what do I need to know regarding fuel additives?

...with weather and elevation similar to Denver. Should I consider anti-gel additives for the fuel? Is it as simple as adding it to each 5gal fuel can when I fill them up at the gas station? Have tire chains and lights on the way and was curious about fuel to prevent gelling/condensation. Thanks!

    Tie downs B2601

With our compact tractors being pretty small (duh), I found it challenging to get the chains and binders where I wanted them. The bucket or rear implement seem to always be just a little in the way. A few years ago, I started using lasso tire straps and haven’t looked back. I found 12’...

I've only bought repair parts from these guys ... This is all they have besides the 2 or 4 link ladder chains. . .https://www.tirechainsrus.com/product/tire-chains-for-john-deere-sub-compact-tractors/?attribute_pa_full-size=25-8-50-14

    Chains fo L6060

Not sure if your clearance is like mine being a 6060. But if you look to the inside of the rear tires, there is probably less than a quarter of an inch from the inside sidewall to the frame..... At least on mine. I often wonder how long you got to catch a low rear tire before it'll shred...

That’s a really good idea on the Euros style diamond chains with studs snow belt is heavy here and I know studs on their own will not be sufficient with climbing up the hills and snow often up to the axles. I’ll definitely need to consider your option. Thank you for that. I could post a picture...
