    L4701 with BH92 question

I have an MX4800 with a BH92 and I pull it off and on frequently. I replaced the bolts on the stabilizer with pins and keepers, only two bolts required now, (the pins for the bottom of the 3 point) I can swap it out in 5 to 10 minutes now. Also built a simple rolling cradle for the hoe which...

    Land Pride grapple

I have a Land Pride SGC1084, I have had it less than a year, I agree, it is the best attachment I have on my tractor. I use it for everything, and it holds up. I have not bent a tooth on it, and I pick up large rocks, tree stumps, logs, even picked my ATV up with it when I rolled it down a hill...

    Planning on a MX5800

No DEF fluid. Basically you just keep the rpm's up and don't worry about it. I have done so and have one regen around 47 hours, (at 80 now), basically the little light comes on and it smells a bit different for about 10 minutes. I may have had more than one, but if I did I did not notice it. M

    Planning on a MX5800

Last summer I purchased an MX4800 with: BH92 6' Land Pride Rotary Cuttter 84" Land Pride Grapple 84" Woods Box Blade I ordered it with the hyd thumb, but there was about a month delay in getting the thumb so there is a three or four position fixed piece on the thumb in place of it. When the...

    Thinking of getting a Backhoe

I have a BH92 with a hyd thumb on my MX4800. From an economical point of view, it probably is wiser to rent one. However, I live for enjoyment of life, and I enjoy my backhoe. It is easy to put on and take off, (the 3 point takes longer... if the stabilizers where pinned instead of bolted it...

not sure if this qualifies as an attachment...

But it is an implement, and works great with my FEL, BH and box blade.. So I had to share... Picking this up this weekend. Should add to the fun and save time and money! 5 yard, 24,500 GVW. No CDL required. M.

    MX4800 first week review

Lefty, I do not have any problems in the woods, the MX has an incredible turning radius. only problems I have is you get used to using the grapple to pick up logs instead of skidding them and some of the longer ones are hard to maneuver between trees. I have no problem on hilly surface as long...

    PIRANAH TOOTH Questions....

From much reading on this forum I have just about decided to purchase a BXpanded Piranha tooth blade. I am pretty convinced I should get it for the MX4800 rather than the BX2660 not so much for the power behind it but the weight. I have watched the videos on the BX’s and there seems to be a...

    SUDT quantity... expensive stuff..

Thanks Hokie, I had looked and looked and somehow missed that. Pretty good guess Vacula! You are right Teg, I would save more in fuel running back and forth to the dealer. Will pick up a 5 gal container. Probably cheaper by the 5 gal anyway. M

    SUDT quantity... expensive stuff..

Put my bh92 on the other day to dig a ditch, a bit muddy and water in the ditch, noticed my hoe would swing to the left a little on its own. Got down and found a loose fitting on the hoe with a bit of hyd fluid in the water in the ditch. Estimated I had lost a couple of gallons. I had a...

    Chain length for bucket hooks

I find it really handy to have ANOTHER chain about 3' in length with a hook on one end and chain hook on the other. Handy for picking up implements, lifting things etc. The dealer who delivered my tractor and implements gave me the idea as he had one. M

How not to abuse your HST? Bx23S

Re: How not to abuse your automatic trans? Bx23S This is excellent advice, but I would like to add a bit here; Most people new to HST (including myself a bit ago) without thinking tend to use the pedal as an accelerator, in fact when you have no load on level ground it appears to act as one...
