    Cautionary Tale - 71 isn't the new 23

I don't do heights any more, nor ladders more than a couple of steps. I don't bounce worth a damn any more.

    Generator Time

I put one in about 10 years ago. Best money I've ever spent. There have been a half-dozen or so multi-day outages in that time.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I have about 3 acres of what used to be sheep pasture. I sold the sheep 8 years ago, but I keep it mowed to keep the alders from creeping back in. I have three sections I call the Upper, Lower and South "pastures", about an acre apiece. Just finished 2nd mowing of the South pasture, and the...

    Sooo

Those are just the minimums, right? :p There's a road near me that's 5 miles long, posted @45 end to end. 3 miles of it are totally uninhabited, not even any power lines. Essentially straight, no side roads or driveways, very little traffic. I will be buggered if I'm going to poke along at...

What is this power take off up near the front axle for?

A bit more detail would help. Assuming the tractor is the L4400 listed under your avatar? Exact location of shaft? Does your PTO selector have Rear/Front/Both positions? Two major possibilities: 1. Mid-PTO for mid-mount mowers 2. Accessory PTO for front mount snow blower or power broom.

    Extra Security Protection

Wouldn't count on cameras being of much use either, except possibly for insurance purposes. Around here, you can show the cops all the camera evidence you want and your chances of it doing any good are approximately the same as your chances of winning the lottery.

    1. I'd go b!tch-slap her vegan teacher for trying to indoctrinate her. 2. I'd tell her there ain't enough meat on them to bother...

It was never spoken aloud, but the implications were VERY clear. Graduated in early June, had a job before the end of the month and paid a token "rent" until I left for boot camp the following February. Due to working nights I was relieve of doing evening chores (Dad raised beef critters) but...

    Second remote for B2650?

Well, it took a while, but you were right, not that that's a surprise. It wasn't a serious leak, just weeping but I hadn't put any real pressure on the hydraulics either. It's getting to be time to hit the driveway with the box blade and that WILL require some serious hydraulic pressure so I...

    PipBoy Holders... The FallOut Series..

Folks that didn't play the game may be confused or turn it off. That'd be me. I turned it off about the time the ghoul was dug up (much as I like Walter Goggins). Apocalyptic movies I like. Zombies an ghouls not so much. My point of view is that a post-nuclear war world is a distinct...
