BX1500 - how to replace O Rings behind Hydrolic Control Valve. Posted 5 months ago with no answer - need to get this fixed please help.

I need to take off the Hydraulic Control Valve to replace the O Rings. From what I am seeing in the service manual about removal it looks like the pin that holds the PTO selector is under the seat. Is it under the fuel tank? How the heck do I get to it?

Replaced PTO safety switch on BX1500 now I have a leak.

I replaced the safety switch which involves removing the PTO Switch Stay. The same bolts that hold the stay on also hold what the manual calls the Control Valve. When you remove the bolts the Control Valve moves down just a tiny bit. So when you put the bolts back in you have to lift it a...

    Can't get BX1500 to start.

OK - my error was thinking the switches only controlled the fuel solenoid! The PTO clutch lever and range gear shift lever switches turn off the fuel and starter solenoid! I jacked it up removed the wheels and tested both sides of the switches. It is the starter solenoid side of the Safety...

    Can't get BX1500 to start.

100% accurate! After I did the temp bypass I started to follow the wire and the black/white wire from the solenoid goes down under the tractor and that black/white wire that comes from the ignition switch goes a different way. I assume that this makes a loop through a switch somewhere. I just...

    Can't get BX1500 to start.

EDIT - Not a bad wire. Bad safety switch that I mistakenly thought only controled the fuel solenoid and was doing that. It also controls the starter solenoid and that side was faulty. Now I am trying to figure out how to replace it. I figured out what could cause it. Bad wire. I unhooked...

    Can't get BX1500 to start.

Thanks. 12.65v and when I try to crank 12.06v. Ground is clean and tight. I checked the power going to the starter solenoid and it was only 0.28. What could cause that?

    Can't get BX1500 to start.

Here is what happens. I turn the key and everything is normal up through glow plug heat. Then nothing. No clicking - nothing. This time it will not start at all and this is day 2. I have checked the safety switches under the seat, in front of seat, the PTO clutch Lever, the PTO select...

Any reason someone would unhook the drive shaft to the front wheels of BX1500

Yes the U-joint only has a hole for the the roll pin on the one side. I will be hooking it back up as soon as I get the pin. Thanks

Any reason someone would unhook the drive shaft to the front wheels of BX1500

It has the differential lock pedal on the front right. It is right beside the parking brake lock pedal. Thanks for the advice.

Any reason someone would unhook the drive shaft to the front wheels of BX1500

Thanks. I will go ahead and order the pin. It less than $2. Seems silly to have a 4 wheel drive tractor that only uses 1 wheel.

BX1500 always has power to the fuel solenoid.

Timer finally came today and that fixed that problem! Thanks for the help! Now I have another issue posted.

Any reason someone would unhook the drive shaft to the front wheels of BX1500

The drive shaft to the front tires of my BX1500 is unhooked where the coupling is under the tractor. Not the one up front by the tires. The drive shaft is just laying on the mower deck and since the front tires should always spin the driveshaft just spins around on top of the mower deck. For...

BX1500 always has power to the fuel solenoid.

That makes sense. I did find instructions on how to test it and it was indeed the problem.

BX1500 always has power to the fuel solenoid.

I found it. Now another question. It says on the front "IMPORTANT: Keep mounting direction as shown right with an arrow pointing up" but it is at a 45º angle. Would that make it not work? I guess I could just unbolt it and move it and see! Edit - The answer is no it didn't help.

BX1500 always has power to the fuel solenoid.

Yes it runs in both of those cases. I used a string attached to the shutoff while I waited for the part. I will look for that part. Thank you very much.
