Most oil and gas in the US comes from Texas and New Mexico. Most of the Canadian oil was going to refineries on the gulf coast to be refined and exported.
Just turn your blade around and move snow with the back of the blade. Put the 3 point in the float position and you can move snow without disturbing your gravel. I have been doing this on gravel drives for 20 years. Years ago I bought skid shoes for the blade, but I don't use them. They dig...
I have had the Pat's QH system for the past 15 years, and it works great. It is compatible with every once of my implements of differing brands. It does take a little more effort than the LP QH, but it is still pretty easy and I'm satisfied.
Umm. Yeah, I guess it was late when I posted this. My math was bad. So with the HST, the L3901 has 32 HP, so it should be able to operate a 6 foot rotary cutter. I'm mostly cutting native grass and very light brush, no sapling trees or heavy brush.
I have to agree with this assessment. I have the L3901, and it does everything you are wanting to do on my 20 acre property. I also heat with wood pellets and buy 3 tons each year. The loader won't lift a full pallet, but I simply offload the bags for about a third of the pallet by hand onto...
Thanks, so a 36HP (PTO) tractor is needed for a 6 foot cutter. That would mean that the L3901 (31 PTO HP for HST) could only use up to a 5 foot cutter?
I would like to get a 6 foot rotary cutter, but I'm thinking that it's a bit large for the L3901? I'm sure that the L4701 would handle a 6 footer. Any thoughts?
I would be very skeptical about the safety of what you are trying to do. The PTO operated tiller operates at the appropriate ground speed as the tractor, and are disengaged by the PTO or clutch when stopping. I was in your same position years ago, and ended up buying a used tiller from a...
I bought one of those old metal ammo cans (military style). They come in various sizes, and the lid clamps down water tight. Usually they are dark green color, but a rattle can of orange paint fixes that. They are nearly indestructible and pretty cheap.
I run 5W-40 Rotella synthetic in my Dodge truck with 5.9L Cummins motor, and it always starts/runs better in cold weather than the standard 15W-40. Has anyone ever run this in their Kubotas?
Richard - the best way to push snow without tearing up asphalt or gravel is to push or pull with the back side of a rear blade in the 3ph float position. Either push the snow in reverse or turn the blade around when going forward so the blade isn't cutting, just dragging or pushing snow. I've...
I never remove my loader. I just remove the bucket for mowing. There's not a big difference in clearance between a loaderless tractor, and just removing the bucket.
I have had a small JD tractor for the past 20 years. Later this year I plan to upgrade to a L3901 HST with loader and 5' rotary cutter. My needs: I live on 20 acres in northern NM at 6800' elevation. My land is flat to gently rolling with grass and scattered pinyon and juniper trees. I use the...
