Tried both there is not enough room to pull the shaft removed both roll pins tried prying with large screwdrivers coupling on on the pinion gear will not move enough to release the shaft

No it is the coupling. Tried to drop the shaft to try and align the 2 screws thinking it might be a balance issue now can not get the shaft out the back coupling is free but the front one will not move

Crap ..just tried ...now I can not get the shaft off the the front going into axel back of the shaft neat Trans moves but the front now will not move..

Middle of tractor not front or rear

The sound when walking along side then standing on the foot stand the sound seems to be coming from near where the shaft goes into the housing Sound is not as loud now but not normal

When I lift the front-end while in 2 wheel drive and manually rotate the left front tire the rt front tire moves in the same direction but slowly I will have to figure out how to listen where the sound is coming from as it only makes the sound when moving in 4 wheel drive any suggestion...

Did that with both front tires in 2 eheel drive one at a time they both spin freely forward and backward no binding or noise When doing the same procedure the tires locked

The inside of the front coupler looks exactly like the photo in video #8..could the problem be I only replaced the damaged one going into the front shaft as the rear coupler did not show any damage leaned and greased both couplers and splines on the shaft

The propeller shaft only has splines and couplers no u joints What u joints are you referring to..I have watched the video in 8, and there is no referral to ujoints Question could the spring pins on the couplings do they need to be aligned for balance Thanks again

Made no noise before coupler was worn where it aligns with the pinion the pinion appears to have no damage to the splines. Tractor runs in 2 wheel drive no problems when in 4 wheel drive works well in REVERSE..going through all 8 gears Thanks Woodman

Tractor made no noise before ..when approaching the hayringwhere it was soft the front wheels quit turning

The damaged coupler splines were only damaged where they aligned with the pinion spline when I jacked one front tire off the ground the shaft spun freely in 2wheel drive ..when shifted into 4 wheel it locked up this was after I replaced new coupler. The tractor operates great in 2 wheel...

Checked roo pins they are correct the shield bolts adjusted and still sounds like a wolf howling Put the tractor in 4 whell in reverse went through all 8 gears and wirks great no sounds.

Not that we know of.no damage. We do use the tractor to bale round bales and move them from the field to hay barn 5x6 about 1000 to 1100lbs Have Maintained all maintanceoil all fluids With t&e damaged coupler it happened quickly but did not make that loud. Noise
