Is a 2001 T1760 tractor worth buying

Garden tractor has 1100 hours think it a 2001 with serial number 60000 and was originally owned by a rm so service and kept inside. Starts and works great just seems like a lot hours for garden tractor mower. Buying for are local city trail club that has some hill and rough terrain but not really bad. Thanks for any help and seems like a better than a regular residential mower.

Interesting comment. I thought the liquid cooled Kawasaki were really good if maintained. Which this one was I think. Got a vid of it running. Seems to start well.

I think if it runs good, you are somewhat safe as long as you keep the hours in mind when you make your offer. You are buying an unknown, so don't spend more than you would be willing to waste in one season, potentially.

Personally I don't think 1100 is absurdly high for the engine, but other components like the deck assembly might be getting worn out also.

I wouldn't pay more than 500.

I was very curious how transmission handle the 1100 hours and it quality. Will be mowing some hills and rougher ground. For $500 you do not much around where I live. Anything that is running and mowing is $1000.00.

1,100 hours / 25 years = 44 hours / year. So it was used 3-4 hours per week in the summers which doesn't seem abusive.

Rough ground and hills may be it's undoing, hard to tell. A lot of parts for the T1760 have been discontinued so buyer beware.

Like Caden mentioned the mower deck on my old Craftsman rotted out before the engine did, and it didn't have a hydrostatic transmission, so I bought my BX1880.
