Hello, I replaced a cracked head on an unknown condition machine.
The compression tester that I have borrowed reads 100psi in all 3 glow plug holes.
It will not start, although vapor is huffing out the tailpipe while turning over.
The valve lash is set at .008".
The glow plugs show continuity to ground, and they receive 12v when the switch is activated.
I find it hard to believe that if the was a problem with cylinder walls or piston rings that all 3 holes would have the same compression reading.
I have not opened the front to check timing gears or alignment.
I am trying to get away cheap to start with because I dont even know if the welder part works.
Any ideas out there of what I might be missing ?
It also has a new Kubota, standard thickness head gasket as per the engines serial #
