Cheap,easy and fast way to shine oxidized paint

I try to keep my equipment out of the sun, but it happens. Buffing takes forever, makes a mess, and in the end it's a bit much for a tractor. I just was looking for a way for my machines not to look terrible. Soft scrub in the cleaning aisle, this took less than 30 seconds. It's certainly not the clarity of true buffing but you probably could go back for a second pass if you wanted more.

I am glad that you are pleased with your efforts.

FWIW, I would suggest using a One-Step product (polish and wax). It will remove light oxidation, and it will protect the finish in the future. With a buffer (preferably random orbital), it would take about 20 minutes to do a tractor hood.

I use soft scrub with bleach to clean my dirty/greasy hands. It allows me in the house to get a bite to eat sometimes because it eliminates the smell of grease!

My plastic fenders were starting to get chalky looking. I tried McGuire's plastic polish on them and they turned back in a few days. I read somewhere that tire black stuff would work and I had some so I wiped them down with that. The are still orange several days later.

McGuire's plastic polish works awesome on my JD fiberglass fenders.
