Yep, it won't run.Anyone know what harm will come to tractor by removing DPF filter?
Although I tend to agree, there is that saying,i wouldnt mess with it if your not having a current issue. i have been running a l5p duramax 2021 purchased new just around 135k miles with no def dpf issues. but i use it for its intended purpose of towing. my tractor is almost 300 hours and has gone through many regens with no issues.
i wouldnt consider deleting just for the sake of deleting. if your having ongoing issues then sure it can be a thing at that point
if it aint broke dont fix it.

Some people just like tinkering/modifying/customizing stuff…..even if it’s for "no good reason".
As a matter of fact, I “know a guy” like that![]()

How many have you deleted? Most of the time it’s the actual emissions components that cause problems. If they are not there they cannot cause a problem.Leave it alone.
To delete anything emissions related, imho, is a snowball effect for problems.
If you don't want it, you should have bought an older tractor.
Is name calling necessary? As a wild eyed clueless tree hugger my new car is hybrid.
Anything pre 2010 should be clear. You don't have to go to the 70s.How many have you deleted? Most of the time it’s the actual emissions components that cause problems. If they are not there they cannot cause a problem.
Not everyone wants a 47 year old tractor.
I bought this L3901 before the onset of my lung problems. Little did I know how beneficial that DPF was going to be. The old B7200 was unusable and had to go.Is name calling necessary?. Hybrids are a very good option for many people.
Seriously though, I've never heard of any emissions since the 70s that have had significant issues on gasoline models. I wish that was the case for diesels. I've avoided diesel issues for the past few years by not buying the ones with the extra emission systems. I didn't need a tractor with more HP than my L2501HST, so I was lucky.
Nice! Did it come with turn signals! Do they work?As a wild eyed clueless tree hugger my new car is hybrid.

It has a DOHC direct injected 3L I6 twin scroll turbo engine married to a 48v hybrid electric motor. It has a 8 speed automatic transmisson with paddle shifters on the steering wheel. It is RWD with an electro-mechnical computer controlled LSD that thoughtfully puts 382 HP and 400 lb-ft of torque on the ground.
It also has too many emission, engine, driveline and suspension management controls to count. Things like piped in exhaust noise, active lane keeping, automatic collision avoidance, auto start/stop, adaptive electric PS, etc.
About the only service I am qualified and equipped to perform is an engine oil change. But when cruising with the top down and I push the Sport button twice and put my foot down it snaps my head back against the head rest, the fake analog tach and speedometer winds like a banshee, the infotainment system automagically cranks the volume up, and a big smile comes to my face. It is without a doubt the finest and most enjoyable automobile I have ever owned.
I have zero interest in recoding or deleting any of those features or owning an older vehicle that does not have them. I feel the same way about my L3901 HST tractor.
YMMV,
Dan
