A few of you may have seen my efforts to get a Westendorf TA26 onto an M6800. I deeply appreciate all of that help, and am happy to report that it worked great. The loader is a beast and I use it often. I am in the market for an M9000 to pair with the M6800 for heavier tasks, and adding things up, the best cared for tractors mostly have LA1251s already on them. Most come with buckets and attachments, so I'm in the circumstance of 1) just having two sets of attachments (one for the Westendorf QA on the M6800 and one for the Kubota QA on the M9000) 2) finding a diamond in the rough M9000 4x4 ROPS with no loader and adding a TA28 3) buying a Kubota M9000 with an LA1251 and replacing it with a TA28 and selling the 1251 or 4) replacing the TA26 on the Kubota M6800 with a 1251. LA1002s are unobtanium, but 1251s with an M9000 bracket are available.
I recognize that #1 is the most practical and likely what I'll do, but I want to consider all of the options. #2 and #3 are probably the worst, as the tractors on #2 just tend to be gambles (I got lucky once, I don't care to roll the dice again) and the setup to make a Facebook TA28 fit an M9000 is about $7500 all in (Kubota loader PB kit, control block, hoses, used loader, new mount brackets). I can get a used LA1251 today on Facebook for $2500, which would require a further $400 in hoses and control block, and a full Westendorf TA26 set would recoup more of my money than a 1251, which is what lead me to option #4.
All of that for a relatively simple question: will the loader mount bracket for an M9000 also fit an M6800? Is there any other issue that would prevent me from mounting a 1251 on an M6800? That's kind of the core question that determines which path is most cost effective if I don't pick #1.
