ROPS will not Fold on new ZD1211

From the shipping crate picture that @whitetiger posted in post #15: is there a possibility that the floor skirt got pushed in during the crating or uncrating process? Especially with the rops mounted separately in the crate as pictured.
Is there any hint of scuff marks on the top half of the rops that could match the damage on the floor skirt?
Hard to tell from the assembly instruction picture how much space there would've been between the two parts.
But seems like a logical assumption that maybe the rops came loose in the crate during shipping, maybe the mower lifted out of the crate haphazardly at the dealer, etc., etc.?? just a thought I had after seeing that picture, dented floor skirt, and issue with the rops....apparently all at the same time somewhere along the line.

The dealer picked the mower up last week, and it just came back. The missing part (tiny piece of bent sheet metal) has been installed. The step appears to be the original, but they did a credible job of fixing the dent. There is a little waviness there, but you can't see it from 20 feet.
I don't know if they did any adjusting or lubing to make sure the prep was in order. Those things are not obvious. I sure hope so.
The mower has little dings on the top of the ROPS, a couple of small rust spots on the ROPS, and a rusted place on a pedal assembly. It's always nice when something new shows up without problems like this, and it makes me wonder if they picked this mower because they knew it had issues and wanted to get rid of it, but I can handle things from here on out. I have a little bottle of orange touch-up paint, and I will get some grey paint as well, to keep rust from spreading.
Personally, if I ran a dealership in the Internet and forum age, I would either offer discounts for banged-up new equipment or make it as perfect as possible before letting it out of my sight, but that's me. I guess the us-versus-them negotiation mentality at dealerships is not always easy for them to overcome.
