NP…I really value craftsmanship and creativity as it’s easy for anyone to throw stones.

When someone crafts a solution for their application (solves a problem), that’s great and I appreciate these type of threads. It doesn’t take much talent (beyond spec and negotiate) to buy a solution. Craftsman creates a solution!
Thanks

Out of interest, did you buy or make that top hook?
Excellent build!

But..... You have the one issue that most have, your top hook is too close to the hitch, makes hooking up implements difficult.
A hook that sticks out further helps this.

Thanks. I've l only got a ballast box and rotary hoe to use it with so far and it works with both of them. If it becomes an issue with other implements I could cut the hook vertically and weld a piece in to get it further forward. I guess I was copying the "most that have the same problem".

A minor mod today - had to cut a section of of the bottom of my ROPS mounted toolbox to clear the top bracket and hook when the 3 point is fully raised.

I cut a piece out, flipped it over, spun it 90 degrees and tacked it back in to check.

It actually acts as a good divider in the box to help keep stuff that I throw in there separated.

@Paul Allwood, here's a photo of the top hook on the Land Pride QH15 (replaced with a LP QH16). If you ever decide to do a version 2.0 this image might be helpful. You'll notice that the hook mounting bracket doesn't sit that high above the top bar, and the hook isn't overly deep.

That QH15 was one of the dumbest ideas that Land Pride ever had. It's sized for CAT 3 bottom pins but spaced for CAT 1/CAT 2 implements so every CAT 1 or CAT implement needs bushings.

Thanks. That picture of the top hook helps. Apart from the depth of the hook which is easy to change, the larger angled face on the leading edge of the hook looks like it will also help - also easy to change on mine.

The biggest difference I see is the distance that the back face of the opening in the book protrudes from the bracket - what @North Idaho Wolfman was suggesting too. I could cut mine and weld a piece in to do the same, or make a new hook.

It looks like about 1". Does that sound close ?

Here are some photos with measurements that might help.

I ended up converting the QH15 to a QH16 by making the lower lift arm hooks CAT 1, but I'm not using it anymore. I run a QH10 on the MX and QH20 on the M6060.

Before - CAT 3

After - CAT 1
