Hey all
We have a Kubota M series at work, maybe an m8540 although not 100% but its a close model to that, exactly the same. We tow spray units, mulchers/slashers and have a frame on the front for scissors/trimming of canes so it has the hydraulic extension from the back underneath the tractor and pops up at the front on the right for the cane trimmers that plug into.
Its a narrow cab used for vineyards and we had just finished trimming the canes on the vines while we had the mulcher on the back at the same time mulching anything that dropped and anything else that was growing or between the rows when this happened. We had finished everything, then this problem happened, luckily.

Found heaps of s#$% that was underneath the cab. Lots of canes/mud and we thought it might of been that caught between the lift. But we pressure washed all the mud, canes and leaves out, even took the right wheel off to do it.

Problem is the lift will rise all the way up but when we go all the way down on the lever, it stays a foot to foot-and-a-half off the ground. We can get it down to the bottom if we lift the draft lever up while the lift lever is down.
We had a mulcher on it when this started to happen and it was the same thing, the weight didn't weigh it down any further.

We topped up hydraulic oil and it is pristine and spotless between/underneath the cab and chassis so we are stumped.

All the metal rods seems to be fine, no bends or anything.

Any help or tips?

Thanks
Stay safe

Not much to go on. Since it drops when draft is engaged I would guess position control feedback linkage needs adjustment.

Assuming that tractor has some downward speed adjustment on the three point mechanism you can try to open it to the fastest speed position and see if that helps.

I know I have posted a couple of times with the instructions for adjusting the feedback linkage on an older model tractor (L185) but they may give you some idea of what to do. Here are some threads to read through on a couple of adjustments to look at.

Get me the exact model number and I should be able to help you with the adjustment details.
