I’m trying to repair a 2018 RTV X900 that has completely destroyed part of its hydraulic/HST drive.

As well as the damage shown above the piston block is totally destroyed as well, parts prices are mounting up but I have a question that I wanted to ask to see if anyone on here has an opinion….

The Swash plate shown above is the smaller of the 2 from the X900 (identical to several of the X-series RTV’s) and is part number K7591-14244, I was searching Messick website and it shows that this is a common part with 60 kubota models, including the RTV500 and RTV900 models.

The thrust bearing, part number K7591-14720 (also on Messicks) is $330 but is only common with 25 models and not the RTV500 and RTV900 models….so I had a look at those models parts lists and they list a different part number for the thrust bearing of K3161-11310, but this only costs $61….can anyone tell me what the difference is???

The only difference I can see is that the plastic ball race is white for the $330 one and black for the $61 one…

What made me originally search was that the larger thrust bearing for the other half of the drive, part number K7591-14210, which is significantly larger is only $97…go figure

Did you ever find a solution to this? It seems so specific, hard to find advice...

It's not very logical to rebuild them when they are in that bad of shape, the debris will be everywhere in the system and getting it all out is near to impossible.
Your very likely to get it all back together and one little piece of trash will ruin the whole rebuild.
