55 and sunny in Feb? Took the opportunity to split the red oak I dropped back in the fall. B3200 FEL makes light work of getting the rounds up to the splitter

I really wasn't wanting to put the QH15 back on the M6060 but the QH20 is a few weeks out, and I need to get the tractor set up now before hand surgery on Tuesday. I got the top-n-tilt on and did my best to make sense of the ridiculous hoses but need to buy some longer ones. I'll replace at least three hoses after my hands heal up.

I got the QH15 on, picked up the EA box blade and moved the Buhler/Farm King rear blade from the field up to it's regular resting place. Nothing sketchy about using shackles and chains to pick up 1,100 lb of steel! The bigger bucket doesn't have hooks but I will order some from @Kennyd4110 and weld them on. But with the EA box blade on I can work on the second driveway over the coming weeks, even with limited use of my hands. I'll figure out the rear blade and QH20 interface at a later date since I'm sure I'll need to do some work there.

Cleaned up some snow and used the bucket for the first time in months. Stopped at the dealership to get pricing on a third set of remotes and a hydraulic top link for the L5460.

Was lazy and decided to clean 2" of wet snow with the bucket. I had swapped the snowblower for the forestry winch a few days back and did not swap back. Major mistake. Wasted lots of time and got stuck twice (and had to use the winch to get out).

I hope I learned my lesson that getting the snowblower for any amount of snow is the right thing to do...

The local Kubota dealership moved late last year from 3 miles from my house to much closer to the center of town. I stopped by the new location for the first time this morning to pick up some UDT2 and to check on the ETA for the new QH20. I was given a Kubota hat for showing up. 😂

I was surprised as to how much inventory they have including an M4 and M5 and a bunch of excavators. There's a KX057-4 coming in on trade that has ~1,400 hours on it so of course I had to look at the KX057-05 on the lot (there were at least three). All I can say is 😲😲😲 ... what a beast of a machine, and the engine compartment is a work of art. The mini is much larger than I remembered.

As for the KX057-4 vs. KX057-5, well, at less than half the cost of a new machine, the used one sure is tempting. The dealership is going to get back to me next week once the trade in has been finalized. I'm really not ready to buy something but if the deal is right I might just have to sell a kidney or two.

I'm actively looking for a used 5 ton excavator myself. There's been one staring at me at the dealer for the last 4 months or so... It only has 123 hrs, so quite expensive.

Installed a new battery and brought the evaporator up the road and set it a little closer to the wood pile. I suspect I am going to strike a match first thing in the morning. (Approx 60 gallons filtered today which is enough to make a mess)
