I have 9.5x20 R1 tires on 7x20 rims with 16.9x24 R1 back tires. The front rim is spli. Kubota shows nothing for that model, but they do show a rim for an M9000, 35515-24130. Anyone know if this is the rim I’m looking for?
Two Kubota dealers I checked with can’t answer this question because they know as much as the book tells them.

The Kubota parts diagram for the M704SUD shows it came with a 24" front.

The part number you provided was used on a number of different low profile models but the M7040 is not listed. It also costs $950!!!

Did you buy this machine new or used? Sounds like someone somewhere has been creative.

Yes, I am aware that the book only shows 24" and that the 7x20 runs $950. The tractor came new from the dealer this way, but the dealer changed hands. The new dealer has new parts people and they aren't very swift.
Kubota is pretty bad showing only one tire option in a lot of their models, even though other combinations exist. I mistakenly entered M7030SU when I went looking for the rim. There is no tire/wheel section in that book!
I come from the Ford New Holland world and used to swap tires for customers needs all the time. Ford New Holland, Case and Deere show the various options that they offered from the factory, but a series will usually share the same wheel pattern. That is why I looked at the M9000 as the hub appears the same and it uses the 7x20 wheel.

I guess you know the drill then. Kubota does have wheel data by model so you might be able to find what you need that way. @whitetiger is pretty helpful with that sort of information.

If not seems like you need to find someone with the M9000 wheel and a tape measure.

Good luck.

Well who ever put those tires and rims on it risked doing damage to the drive train as the ratio is wrong.
That's why they are not listed as a option on the M7040 builds.

The front rims for the M9540 ( same era and build time as the M7040 ) does fit it, oddly enough the rear rims shouldn't be used as they need 18mm bolts.
The front and rear rims from the M9000 do fit it.

So yes the 35515-24130 will fit it.

Thanks for the reference. I'll have to look into it.
As far as tire swaps, I used to do it quite a bit when we had to fit Midwest packaged tractors from Ford that had tires too wide/short for Salinas Valley vegetable rows. Lot's of customization of wheel centers to get the right height and row spacing.

Could I get a clean copy of that? I already have it for the L series.

Thanks
