Well, I got up early to try to stay ahead of the snow and my beloved foreman was sleepy this morning and I was not able to wake her up. 😢

However, my cigar (diesel unholy cocktail) was already lit, so I stumbled down the road to the big barn…then I lit the little B, and she seemed happy to be called out to the mound. The Drives are not as clean as I would like (has a tooth at on), but it sure is better than a shovel and the light bar came in real handy at 0 dark thirty.

first pass is done (somewhere between 4-6ā€). She is plugged in now and I am ā€˜hydratingā€™šŸ˜‰ with some Black rifle coffee next to the wood stove.
Good point there. I need to grab a snow removal stick as well. Probably a nice maduro wrapped one

What gauge is the stovepipe? If it's 24, I wonder if that will be stout enough.
Probably 30ga. It’s supply duct, not stove. I’m thinking that the rake tines behind it will support it enough. Maybe šŸ˜‚

I give it a 95% chance of working just fine. As you said, the tine spacing is a real plus. Maybe I'd up that to 100% after seeing the guy on the riding mower using a flatscreen TV box for a plow:)

(Yesterday) dragged the 6' rear blade out and mounted it on the Kubota since the 7-footer is still being refurbed. It could come in handy if this storm isn't over-hyped .

Well, when I went out for round two my green machine started up, but it still took the B to move some piles.

then I went down the road and helped the older couple across the field from us.

it was a team effort this morning between greenie and the B. Let’s hope everyone plays nice this afternoon for round 3.

Cleaned up the overnight 'dusting' we received! Sure glad I have a heated cab and the loader mounted plow so I can stack it high. Not as much as we got Feb 2021 but, they are calling for snow thru sometime late tonight/early Monday morning. Best guess we got ~7" dropped so far. Looks like I'll have more 'seat time' later this afternoon and again Monday morning.

How does the blade do on the B? Does front end wash out? (Do you have chains or studs? Which tires?)
No front end wash out to speak of. I'm set up with a concrete filled ballast box on the 3pnt. I think front end control and traction would be poor without the balast.

R4 tires no studs or chains. No traction issues but also not icy today, real powdery snow, I move at turtle speed, I'm not worried about getting down to gravel, and I'm on flat to very mild slope.

This is in a 10" snow with 60" blade. No strain pushing through it, but also pretty favorable conditions.

Thanks I have debated a plow or push box for the B in case ATV doesn’t want to start. šŸ™„. (I’d probably stud my tires as I have some traction issues on the concrete as is. )

More white stuff! Plowed another 5-7 that has fallen since this morning along with 4 of my elderly neighbors. It's still coming down but supposed to end sometime tonight.
If my pile gets any taller, I'll need to upgrade tractors. The little BX just doesn't have enough weight to deal with 12-14" all at once. No issues with the 5-7 dry lighter stuff. That little bit on the ground beside the tires is about an hour accumulation. Everybody stay safe out there.

That cab sure looks warm…I am several counties NE of you. (I split the clean up into 4 rounds). Just finished round 4 and wind is picking up on top of the hill here. looks like the wind is gonna kick up more tonight…I suspect some drifting.

keep the rubber side downšŸ‘
