What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Cleared snow at church (2 parking lots) and the driveway at home. Then used the DeWalt 20V pressure washer with a bucket to blast the salt off of the Kubota.

Took the RTV out for a rip. Not much going on out there.

It snowed again last night. Guess what I did?

Went snowboarding. Lift lines started forming mid-day. Headed home and cleared the driveway. Again.

Cold front arrived late. Probably why minimal numbers at lift opening. They believed the forecast. 20F at lift opening. Mid to low teens by noon.

Nice building! Shouldn't that snow blower be on your tractor?

lol it was on it this morning. but its so so so much easier hooking up an attachment on level concrete floor than uneven horse arena sand. i had all my stuff stored in the back third of our arena all jenga sticked in and blocked off with round pen fence panels.

im off to shot show for the week tomorrow and the weight bucket is on the tractor. my barn help knows how to run the forks spear and bucket. havent got her trained on snow blower yet to run it unsupervised

anyone else getting tired of this winter? Wasn't expecting this one so, it made me extra unhappy.

Wound up spending 5 hours doing my two driveways, deck, walkways, a neighbor place and the horse farm. I need to get some more hay for horses so I had to plow that out shyt well.

I don't ski anymore. I hate winter.

I haven't had to plow too much this year.
I'm grateful because I love to plow but I have had some terrible sciatica this year.

This winter has been great! We’ve been getting the short end of the stick for snow for about the last 10 years it feels like. Maybe a couple dumps a season in the past but that’s about it. This season I feel like our ground has been white almost as much as it’s been green. I do like snow. If it’s gonna be cold it may as well be scenic as well. Had 4” yesterday and another 4+ expected today!

Would you have any pictures?
Then we can enjoy the snow as well :giggle:

We got a bit of snow so I cleaned up around the house and three of my neighbors driveways. So far this winter, the only work the blower has done is provided ballast.

I'm tight for space in the garage so the pusher resides on the trailer until needed.

Not a "real" snow again. Just a few inches. Took the Kubota to town and did the church parking lots, then came home and did driveways for the neighbor and us.

It's a shame I didn't get the rear blade project done ahead of the snow:(

We had about 3" of dry snow on top of our hard ice. I just tread on it instead of plowing hoping to get it to stick.

While heading to the neighbor’s place to plow them out (a vacation place, they live in the city) I spun out on the town road. I didn’t see it coming and boy did it frighten me. I was in midrange, 2500 rpms, two-wheel drive. Just driving down the fairly steep hill, I think it’s 10% grade or so, and i happened quickly. There are fairly deep ditches on either side, and a lot more hill. I’m so glad I didn’t flip it.

Looks like you need a set of tire chains.
Glad you are ok, that could have been real bad.

You left it across the road on a slippery hill long enough to take a pic ??? Glad you are OK. I find R1's terrible on hard slippery surfaces. Yes - get some chains.

EDIT- maybe that was too harsh. You must have know the road well enough to do that . Sorry.

I'm guessing 4WD may have helped. Letting off the go pedal or having the tractor want to go faster than the engine would allow it while in 2WD was like jamming on the brakes and breaking traction with the rears. In 4WD the fronts would have helped somewhat.

I slid to a stop, and felt I was in a safe(enough) spot to step off. But maybe I should have stayed on the machine 🤷‍♂️

Yeah… the rest of the way down the hill I was in 4wd and low range and took it very easy.

I’ve lived here ten years and believed I knew the road conditions and machine fairly well. But, it seems so was over confident. It can sneak up on you if you let your guard down!

Got done and somebody wanted to play.

Then we got another light snow in the evening so I guess I'll be heading out to do that today as well.
