Hello folks,
I'm having issues with my 2014 B2601 tractor's hydraulics. When I first start my tractor, the hydraulics do absolutely nothing. If I let it sit running for maybe 10 mins or so , it will work. Now here's another way to get it working. If I stop and restart, sometimes that will make it work. As long as the tractor doesn't sit too long as in 15 mins or so, the hydraulics will work properly. We've checked the hydraulic oil and changed it and there was a broken spring which was replaced. There is correct pressure when operating but no pressure when it stops working. Has anyone had this issue ? Thanks in Advance.

Whats the ambient tempersture when this happens?

Once warmed up do you still get this behavior?

What spring did you replace?

More questions (since the assumption seems to be freezing water in the system).

When you changed the fluid did you have the transmission fluid warm and were all hydraulics working before and after the change? When was the change done (date)?

What did the fluid in the tractor look like when it was drained? clear, milky, like peanut butter color…

Hi Dan,
Thanks for the quick reply. It does this in all ambient temps. It is fine as long as you keep running the tractor, once it sits for a while, it stops operating again. The spring we relaced was the relief spring on the side of the transmission.

It still acted the same way in the summer and winter and acted the same after the oil change. it was milky in color but we flushed it until it was clear. Oil was changed 3 months ago. Tractor hasn't been used lately as I'm recovering from surgery.

At a minimum sounds like the pump is stsrving for oil at startup and is slow to prime.

Have you replaced/cleaned the filters?

@Tim Garrison
I copied your text in your reply from above. when you replied to @TheOldHokie you typed your reply outside the word quote at the bottom. When you responded to mine you started typing inside my post and the last word quote. Typing outside the quote is the preferred method as you can see above.

Thanks for the information and excluding freezing from the suspects.

I didn’t mean to sound like I was chastising you about it. I was just trying to let you know why they appeared different when you replied to posts.

Hi Dan,
I've asked the question to my mechanic friend, who by the way works for Kubota is having trouble diagnosing the issue. He hasn't gotten back to me yet. I'm think that has but don't want to assume.

Hi Dan,
Yes, the filters have been replaced. Someone mentions screens but can't seem to locate them. Would you happen to know of them and where they might be located? Thank you

No filter screens on that model.

Have you pulled the filter housing a suction pipe and inspected those?
