I worked with guy that had an Ice Burg for a screen saver and he said, "That is me, no woman can get to my heart". A year later he married a big round woman with three girls. Now he wishes he was single and driving a truck.
I never had my own kids. I raised my wifes two kids. Now I'm raising...
Thanks,
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a wonderfull New Year. May Eric get married, have twin girls, and wish he was single again.:)
Seriously, I wish you all the best and look forward to another year of great Orange talk.

If you go to this mobil 1 site:
http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/MotorOil/Oils/Mobil_1.aspx
and click on the different oils it tells you if they are for gas and/or diesel engines. It looks like most are for both. The high milage types I looked at said gas. Most look like they are for both...
I have a L3400, 2006 model. When I got it it ground gears when I tried to engage PTO. That is with the clutch all the way in. Mine has a separte adjustment for the PTO clutch AFTER the primary clutch adjustment. I would advise spending a few bucks for the operators manual. It has all the...
Maybe thats why you should stick the block under the pedal every now and then. So it doesn't stick to the bottom of the tool box. LOL...
Good argument on the metal fatigue. I wonder what they mean by, "If it's going to be sitting for a while". Mine doesn't usually sit for a couple of weeks but...
I do it but not with a block. My L3400 has a pin to push in after pressing the clutch pedel down. I do it even if it's going to be sitting a couple of weeks. I think it's a good habit to get into.
This is outer limits stuff but possible. I know it's wierd, you can shun me. When you turn to go up or down your seat shifts. I had something like this happen. A long rod holding the seat hinge was comming out and the seat moving was disingauging the seat safety switch. I was lucky and found it...
I don't have a tractor like yours but since noone else answered, I'm all you got. I'm guessing your relay sound is the solinoid. I guess it could be a fuel shut off. No matter. Get a volt meter and check the voltage going to the starter when you hear the click. If you get 12 volts at possitive...
I'm above the line on a L3400DT after an oil change. I'm guessing I might have a half quart too much. I'm sure too much can be a problem with rods and pistons slamming on it.
How much is too much? I'm up and down hills a lot. Anybody have thoughts on this?
I saw this when I was 15 working in a gas station for $1 an hour (a long time ago). The oil pan on this car was so full of sludge that nothing came out. At the time the guy just wanted the oil changed for a price of an oil change and to get going. I worked a screw driver around inside the pan to...
Hopefully that will be of some help.
On #2: Instead of me saying "....you feel it start to get tight indicating it has contacted...", I should have that "...you turn it untill you feel it making contact with the flywheel". But I think you get the idea. What I'm saying is that if your feeling it...
Delalisa,
I'm going to assume the click is the primary side of the solonoid kicking in. If it is then you should have power to the starter.
Since your tractor cut off on you the problem is probably something other than a solonoid or starter.
If your tractor just cut off then I'm going to guess...
Vic, I put a post on take out crimp and hydralic problem in the wrong forum "implement and operatiing" instead of the repair area. Maybe you could move it. Sorry. Thanks for all you do.

I practically went straight to the cause of a hydraulics problem that started Sunday morning. I owe it to reading this forum. The main purpose of this post is to thank all of you that regularly post replies to people’s problems.
My hydraulics started making noise and groaning. Loader and lift...
