    Cranking set back

It worked! Thanks to all. This site is great. I cleaned the battery cable terminals. Got a new battery. Drained the fuel. Put in a new filter. Cleaned the filter bowl (which was full of crud), and pre-filled it about 1/2 full. Bled the air out of the system with that screw knob. Now it fires in...

    Cranking set back

I bought a new battery. Going out to clean all of the ends now. Here is a question regarding the fuel and possible water. What are the steps to get rid of the old? I could disconnect the line from the tank to the filter to drain the old fuel, but would I lose "prime"? I obviously replace the...

    Cranking set back

thanks for the great input. I'll look into it this weekend. Might as well thanks. i'll check tonight or this weekend. I've had it 3-4 years, with the same battery, so that's an easy place to start. i have jumpers made out of welding cable. would you jump from a running car battery and attach to...

    Cranking set back

I've owned a B6200 for about 3 years. Usually I warm the glow plugs for 10-15 secs, and it fires up in about 5 secs (I live in NC). It never fails. We went overseas for over a month and I inadvertently left the tractor uncovered. When I came back I worried if I'd face starting problems. Sure...

    Losing air

Just went to the tire guy. There is a sign in his window that says he’s off all next week for the 4th. Bad timing. Discount tire suggests tubes. Might be best option? Any downsides?

    Losing air

I have a b6200hst. Rear tires (29x12.00-15) worked fine, but were dry rotted everywhere. Finally I found a used Goodyear turf tires 29x12.50-15 to replace them. they looked newish. Had them mounted. A day or two later both were flat. Filled them back to 10psi. the rims look nice from the...

    B6200 29x12.0-15 replacement

My rear rims have a sticker on them: 29x12.0-15. Currently that is the size tire on those rims. They are dry rotted. I'm assuming it is OK to put a 29x12.5-15 tire on that rim to replace the harder-to-find 29x12.0-15. Is that right? thank you!

gck60-bx grass catcher to a b6200 with rc48-62h mower deck

anyone know if the gck60-bx can be adpated to an b6200 with a 48" deck? I don't mind working on it a bit, but obviously if something won't work I don't want to risk buying the grass catcher. Anyone know? thank you! rick

    b6200hst-e newbie transmission fluid change

thanks. I tried to activate mid PTO, rear PTO, reverse, forward, and drive a bit. will see how it goes. right now the level is the top of the flat portion of the dip stick, which is above the line, but I don't know if that's way high. if it doesn't drop down, I'll drain some more.

    b6200hst-e newbie transmission fluid change

a report on the transmission change, with a question: I got it done. The good news: fluid was clean, as were the 2 strainers. But here is something baffling: By the book, it takes 14.3 qts = a bit over 3 1/2 gallons. Only perhaps 2 3/4 gallons came out. Then, when I was refilling, I put in a 2.5...
