    Missing Strainer on B7800

Thank you. That is infinitely clearer than the picture in my manual.

    Missing Strainer on B7800

Just changed the two hydraulic oil filters on my B7800, the manual also shows a strainer that needs to be cleaned. Am I completely blind? I could not see it where the manual said it would be, which I believe to be above the right hand side filter (suction, if I remember rightly). Perhaps the...

    No hydraulic power to backhoe

Thank you both for your suggestions. I'm embarrassed to say that the problem was that a quickconnect under the tractor must have snagged on something I drove over and come loose. All is well now, except that my pride might need a little fixing. Thanks again.

    No hydraulic power to backhoe

Well, that is an interesting suggestion. I never use the 3ph. User error is a very plausible explanation with this particular user. I shall let you know on Saturday when I can get there. Thanks.

    No hydraulic power to backhoe

Thank you for those helpful suggestions. It just stopped without me touching anything. But the hoses go under the tractor, so your idea that I check the connections is highly sensible. Perhaps something I drove over pulled them loose. I didn't see anything amiss at the weekend, but never...

    No hydraulic power to backhoe

My B7800 has a Woods backhoe that takes its hydraulics from the FEL console. The hydraulics to the FEL still work, but not to the backhoe. It has worked for years, and just stopped. I do have sufficient fluid. I think there is a hissing noise at the FEL (hard to hear over engine noise). So...

    B7800 Brake Adjustment

The driver of my B7800 also does the same thing: driving with the brake on. Since it could not possibly be my mistake, or yours, it must be the tractor's fault. Though everything else about it is terrific. I was planning to tighten my brakes as soon as it warms up a bit. Thanks for posting...

    Ultimate newbie question

Yes, the front wheel lifted off the ground on the uphill side. So that got me wondering if it can lift four or six inches off the ground was I close to toppling over or is that normal. How high before it topples (the mechanics of that calculation is too hard for my brain to figure out without...

    Ultimate newbie question

I have a brand new B7800 with a serious Woods backhoe and standard FEL. OK, it is new to me even if 250 hours old. What a wonderful machine! But it is a bit back heavy. On my first day, I took it up a steep hill and I know enough to take that head on, not sideways. But at one point the hill...
