    Rental 3 pt. Auger Question

If I could find a decent one for that price I’d buy one too. lol. Good call on having extra shear pins. I’ll have to buy some. My PTO reverse gear is a 30” pipe wrench. If that doesn’t work, there is always 4 Low (4 foot pipe for the pipe wrench) 😜

    Caribbean Cruise for Christmas

I'm going to find out. We decided to do a 4 day later this winter. I don't love the idea but the wife really wants to go on a cruise. I like exploring. At least there is a full fitness center in board. That'll occupy me a couple hours each morning until she wakes up 😆

    That's a bad day

Huh?? That's exactly what I said about ingesting water. Unless it did, which we don't know, there shouldn't really be much damage.

    That's a bad day

I want to know the rest of the rest of the story. K said it was no longer usable? WTH?!? I figured they were built better than that. Unless it ingested water, there shouldn't be an issue other than some bolt on parts

Intermittent heat from heater in 2013 Kubota L5740

I don't know that tractor, but an Air locked heater core (if the heat is from coolant like a car) can certainly do it. Minus 20s without wind chill? May need to block off part of the radiator. My little L likes it 1/3 blocked wien it's single digits. I use the Schwaben vacuum tool for coolant...

    Caribbean Cruise for Christmas

The smiles say it all! We are leaving Monday for a 15 day island hopping trip to the Caribbean. I'm getting tractor time in now to tide me over till we return!

    Rental 3 pt. Auger Question

We have been shy of rain, but 12-18" down the dirt is pretty moist. At least here. Nothing like the summer.

    This Is Why

Sadly, we put some cams up this weekend. Still have one left to mount. Went hardwired PoE and will add one or two WiFi in the woods trails where the signal is good with the mesh. Our issue is poachers, not thieves. I guess poachers are thieves..... I had some scared off when I introduced myself...

    A Fire A Day

Do as you wish, but pine is not a good idea. I can find >1000 sources saying it's not. I'll take the word of people that know fireplaces. Sure, you can burn anything in a fireplace. You'll just have to clean it a lot more often.

Thanks all! I'm set. Couple weeks and we'll see if the 2501 can bore a 18" hole in Virginia clay. At least it's the wet season!

Oooh! Like a Christmas tree stand! Whatcha think about using 1/2" rebar? I have plenty of that, but no sch 80 pipe.

    A Fire A Day

Neighbor house caught on fire. Fireplace was the culprit. Seems they were trying to cheap out and used pine for heat.

If it gets stuck, yes. But that is counter to what others have said about not stepping up the bits. I don't know either way, but I'm going to find out 😄

I appreciate the insight. And the forethought on future removal. Cement will definitely be domed above grade. I may do a 4x4 diagonal brace to the adjacent fence post. Planning on making this someone else's problem long after I'm gone
