    Rototiller slip clutch slipping

No success. Reassembled and tightened. From fully backed out, the set screws are pretty much as tight as they go with 1-1/2 turns. Lowered to only go in a couple inces, it tills for a minute, then stops and there's a loud grinding. Lowered deeper and it stops immediately. The PTO shaft keeps...

    Rototiller slip clutch slipping

Thanks! Dunno if it would make a difference, but can I swap positions and/or flip them over? The contact side of only one liner (left end of the photo strip) seems to be the only one with a lot of wear, with pits and worn in grooves.

    Rototiller slip clutch slipping

Finally got to take apart the slip clutch. First time so I'm not sure what the liners are supposed to look like. Here are pics of both sides of each. I guess they're worn out, because photos of new clutch liners all have what looks like an abrasive side?

    Rototiller slip clutch slipping

B48CA rototiller. While tilling, a stuttering noise started to come from the tiller and it stopped turning. I thought it had hit a big rock, so I backed up and reengaged the tiller in the already tilled soil. It worked until it hit untilled soil. The stuttering noise started, the tines stop...

Fluid leaking from LA302 loader cylinder

One-year update: A full season over, and the other cylinder is still fine. I use the tractor for maybe up to 200 hrs a year, during vegetable growing months.

B1700 HST: overfilled transmission fluid a problem?

Thanks for the replies! Good description. It makes perfectly clear what I read elsewhere. I'll get the level down.

B1700 HST: overfilled transmission fluid a problem?

B1700 HST. Seem to have overfilled with topping up the transmission fluid after replacing a removed cylinder on the loader. Used the loader for an hour, no problem, before checking the level. The dipstick is showing about an inch above the fill mark. When I look into the tank itself, there...

Fluid leaking from LA302 loader cylinder

After a minor attempt at DIY, I ran out of time (weather changed) and took it into a hydraulics shop, where they replaced the seals. $145US (I'm in Canada, so, $180 here). Rod, barrel and piston were fine. I used the loader some over the summer, topping up regularly to make up for the leak...

Tips on opening up loader hydraulic cylinder?

Thanks for all the info! I was hoping to give it a good DIY shot, but ran out of weather here, so took it to a hydraulics shop (replaced seals, $145US). I'll be better prepared for the next time. Including looking more into actually DIY replacing the seals. Cheers!

Tips on opening up loader hydraulic cylinder?

Any tips on removing the cap of a hydraulic cylinder? It's from an LA302 loader. I've watched videos and read posts on this. What I've tried so far is using a pipe wrench. It had a solid grip but didn't budge. It looked and felt like the tube and cap were one solid piece! I haven't tried more...

Fluid leaking from LA302 loader cylinder

Thanks for all the info! From that, and talking to the Kubota parts guy at my regional dealer, it seems most likely to be a seal problem. I looked into parts. Seems like getting the Kubota kit is the safest way to go. The local hydraulics shop said they'd have to measure, and the Kubota dealer...

Fluid leaking from LA302 loader cylinder

LA302 loader on B1700 tractor: Just noticed a steady flow of hydraulic fluid from one of the bucket cylinders. Seems to be coming from where the rod enters the cylinder. Happens every time the rod is extended and contracted. Steady flow stops after a few seconds when inactive, but seems to be...

    B1700 oil filter substitution

I think I may have answered myself. I found this on oilfilter-crossreference.com: https://www.oilfilter-crossreference.com/convert/KUBOTA/70000-32050 It lists Kubota HH150-32094 as a match. That's reliable?

    B1700 oil filter substitution

On a B1700 HS, can I substitute one Kubota OEM oil filter for another: Original: 70000-32050 New: HH150-32094 I get my parts shipped, and the Kubota dealer has several times sent the HH150 part instead of the 70000. I think the HH part is what comes up on their computer when I ask for a B1700...

B1700 - new 30A fuse blew immediately on start

Seems to be FIXED. i replaced the 0.6 ohm plug. The new NGK part tested 1.2 ohms like the other two old ones. The tractor started without hesitation. I broke the threaded top of one of the old plugs (I replaced the wire C connector on top instead of under the bar that connects the plugs, and...
