    Struggling installing an SSQA adapter

My buddy and I went over there today (it is not at my house) armed with a few ideas and tools. The first thing we did was put a homemade post driver under the loader arm of the side that the pin was not going in and put some weight on it by moving the loader down. It didn't help much but after...

    Struggling installing an SSQA adapter

I'm going to see if I put some of the weight of the tractor on just one of the loader arms to see if the loader frame is tweakable enough to pound it in. Still doesn't seem right. I may call ATI tomorrow too.

    Struggling installing an SSQA adapter

I thought of making a tool like that and it might work. If I do get it in will it wear the pins or loader arms much quicker than normal?

    Struggling installing an SSQA adapter

The old pin on bucket fits the loader fine. The new adapter does not fit the loader arms. I was thinking of using a string to check the alignment of the adapter but I should check the loader arms too.

    Struggling installing an SSQA adapter

Are you saying to get the pins through only one side and then tap on each on a little at a time so each is getting half of the total misalignment pressure? That may help. The pins looked like the chamfers are about the same on both sides. I ground the chamfer larger on one side to help but it...

    Yes. Pretty level.

    Struggling installing an SSQA adapter

I bought an ATI Tach-All for my MX5100 and its LA844 loader to convert it to SSQA. It looks really well made but for some reason one of the bottom pins doesn't align with the ears. It is off center by at least an 1/8". I tried removing it and the other bottom pin to reverse the order. Sure...

    B7500 Fuel Tank Removal

IIRC you have to pull the dash back a little bit to get access to the bolts holding the tank to the orange steel cowl.

    B7500 Fuel Tank Removal

It was not terrible but was a lot more than I expected. If I went in thinking it was a lot of work then I might have thought nothing of it. The only thing on the "dash" I had to remove was the throttle lever and had to drive the roll pin out.

    B7500 Fuel Tank Removal

I have it all assembled and it ran great under power for 45 minutes so far. Crossing fingers that cap blocking fuel flow was the issue.

    B7500 Fuel Tank Removal

I removed (ish) the tank except the fuel sending wires. It was enough to turn it upside down and drop the vent cap. What a project. It was pretty dirty under there after 21 years so I vacuumed the heavy stuff, taped up the fuel inlets, blew most of it off with an air gun and wiped it down with a...

    B7500 Fuel Tank Removal

I dropped a plastic fuel can vent cap down in my B7500 tank about two months ago. Initially I tried to fish it out with a wire with hook bent on the end and no luck. It has ran fine with several tanks of fuel through it until yesterday. It started sputtering, no power, very low idle and die...

    S&R 3 point chipper

The guy sold it before I could look at it. He was asking $700 which I thought was pretty reasonable for a nice condition chipper like this but also considering the manufacturer is out of business. In my research I did find that they made these chippers from about 1994-1998. They also made what...

Jerky hydraulics when lowering boom only.

I was using my MX a few weeks ago and the loader started getting jerky and weak. The brush hog was on there and I had it lifted all the way up. After a while I remembered this thread and dropped the 3 point hitch just a tiny bit and sure enough the loader worked great after that! Now I would...
