    blower/blade usage

Asgard has it right. I added paddles to my impeller and no choke ups. You can use a bailer belt or cut up a mud flap. Also, spray everything down with dry graphite lube or pfte (teflon) spray. You'll be able to snowblow water! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Not sure if I need another implement or a shrink

Thanks Slimshadie. Shut offs on the fuel line is a good idea- just in case, I've got extra fuel filters and diesel 911. I've got the torpedo heater and I'm storing in a tent this year. My heated garage would be better, but I'd have to kick out the Mrs. We all know that such a suggestion could...

Not sure if I need another implement or a shrink

all good advice! Since my two nearest neighbors have huge green tractors with snow implements... I could always phone a friend. Maybe a snowmobile is the answer!

Not sure if I need another implement or a shrink

Ok... To begin with i just moved to officially the snowiest 10 square miles of Massachusetts. On top of that, I'm on the edge of a lake with a north wind blowing drifts that will reach my roof line - as folklore has it. I've got a new Kubota 2670 with the heavy duty version front mounted snow...

No more wix filters for me. Lesson learned.

Hmmm... I just checked the Wix cross reference for Kubota PN HHK20-36990 and they said it was a valid competitive filter but they don't have a replacement for it. I used Wix number 57088 after reading a compatibility list on Amazon. Again... lesson learned.

No more wix filters for me. Lesson learned.

At my 50 hour service, I decided to save a few bucks and use a "compatible" Wix hydraulic filter for my BX2670. About 3 hours into the filter, I blew the filter seal and dumped all my hydraulic fluid on the lawn. Kubota service came out to repair it because I thought I had blown a line or...

    loaded tires

I loaded my bx2670 26x12x12 turf tires today with a pump style garden sprayer and 20 gallons of all weather widndshield fluid. I unscrewed the dispenser nozzle from the hose, jacked up the tractor, removed the valve stem inserts to deflate the tires, rotate the wheels so the valve stems were...

Mods to Land Pride FSP500 - for sanding

The 80lb vibrator kit from Russo works perfectly! I actually had to shut the flow to half and change the thrower angle. I'm thrilled that this is working. Inside view... Am working without an agitator.. I installed a hitch pin just to move things around. And the results. Yes... That's my...

New owner of BX1870 needs advice

Thanks all. I know I'm a little late on this post but I ended up trading up to a bx2670 with FEL and a bx2755hd snowblower. So far I am happy with the extra hp. I figured that the wheels must have been spinning robbing hp from the snowblower. I also traded my old driveway for a 1400 foot...

Mods to Land Pride FSP500 - for sanding

I bought the sand salt premixed from a local sand and gravel company here in Massachusetts. It was mixed 6:1 sand salt and it appears to be screened and fine. I don't have a moisture analyzer, but it easily compacts. Not muddy, but it will cake up in your boots. I've been told that the salt...

Thanks! My vibrator is on the way. After many interesting googles for vibrators I found an 80lb vibrator kit for a tailgate spreader. Mounting it on the cone hopper close to the bottom 1/3 I think will be the place for it. With a couple of metal plates to sandwich the plastic in between and...

Mods to Land Pride FSP500 - for sanding

Hello all, thank you for your help and guidance. I am appealing to the orange tractor gurus for advice. I just moved into a house that has a 1400 foot asphalt driveway which I plan on snowblowing with my bx2670 and a bx2755hd snowblower. I upgraded from a bx1870 and I'm happy with the extra...
