    Pulling logs

I bought a Small wood Lot three point grapple. Works Great! Never have to get off the tractor, keeps 95% of the log clean and pulls from the draw bar. One of the best three point attachments I’ve purchased.

    Hydraulic Top Link

TJ, I see you have a tilt cylinder on your 3300 and a backhoe subframe. How much clearance is there between the subframe and cylinder? I’ve got a 3800 with bh subframe and Pats links that gives me 1/4”-3/8” clearance with the adjustable lower link. Do you have clearance issues? Thank you.

    Supply for T&T control

I know, yet another t&t question/thread. Can a backhoe fluid supply be used for a t&t control valve? 6.2 gpm on a l3800. That would save loads of plumbing and simplify install for a rookie hydraulic guy. Summit valve with Fitright cylinders was my thought. looked at tractor innovations but...

Is the rule of thumb, "if you can reverse up the hill, you can drive up the hill"?

This is an interesting topic.....I’m working a trail straight down a hill i can not back up but can drive down with no problem. I measured it at 20.56 degrees. A l3800 w/fel and a rake on three point. 50 degrees? That would be spooky.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

This years tree seedlings showed up. Busy scarifying areas to plant the 40 new comers and scratch a 1/4 acre area for natural regeneration. After losing hundreds of spruce to bark beetle I’ve been planting trees every year. Hope to grab some apples before too long. Hope the next land owners...

What do you do with the trails you maintain?

I maintain 2.5 miles of atv trail on public land and .5 in my land. The public trail gets trenched during early season use before the frost is out of the ground. This condition is repaired every mid June with a gaged landscape rake. Generally six passes over the clay/rock mix winnowing from one...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I’ve been sorting spruce and birch logs around the mill yard, some birch require lifting onto the mill bed. Love the help the L3800 provides with lifting and skidding logs with the three point hitch log tongs. Then hauling off the saw dust to the main Atv trail.

    Back hoe Boom issue

Cyceling this thread back with more information regarding the issue. After have intermittent issues with the back hoe boom lift, but in general its worked well until this spring/early summer, when the lift simply would not respond. Started by removing the upper relief valve for the boom (#6 on...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

After pulling logs for a few days, I dropped the log hooks and mounted up the box blade for the annual trail dragging. There are 3 miles of ATV trail I maintain once a year. Because of the early spring I was able to get on the trail two weeks early but will need to revisit one spot that was a...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Became impatient for bare ground so removed two feet of snow off the garden area. Hope this helps warm the soil and melt the snow a bit faster. The clean tractor will not last long with mud season coming up next.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Sorted out the troublesome relief valve on the backhoe boom lift thanks to help on this site, then dug out two birch stumps, hosed off Baby and put her on blocks for the winter with a fresh 400 hour fluid/filter servicing 6 hours ago. Ground is freezing up but no snow yet. Sleep well Baby.
