Grand L4060 Rear Remotes and Top & Tilt

Well, let's see how this goes for the small M series tractors. Each complete kit is built using 3" dia cylinders with 1 1/2" dia rods. 3/8" hoses with 1/2" male AG-type couplers. Built-in flow restrictors. The following is what you get in a complete T&T set shipped to you in the...

Grand L4060 Rear Remotes and Top & Tilt

Fit Rite cylinders for these 3 applications are 2 1/2" dia cylinders with 1 1/2" dia rods. Just the std T&T kit, toplink, side link, hoses with 1/2" male AG-type couplers, and built-in flow restrictors are $1426 shipped in the lower 48 states. Option to add check valves for $260. So $1686 with...

Grand L4060 Rear Remotes and Top & Tilt

MxMXi, I'm not saying that they don't work, if they didn't, Kubota would not be selling them. Just that Kubota is compromising because the 3 different machines have different std hitch parts, but they have decided that one size works for these 3 different applications. By doing that, the units...

Grand L4060 Rear Remotes and Top & Tilt

Just a heads up about the Kubota T&T sets. They recommend the same kit number (L8388A) for all of the cat 1 and cat 1-2 Grand L models as well as the MX models. The cat 1 models, the cat 1-2 models and the MX models all have different 3pt hitches. So somewhere in there, there are compromises...

Grand L4060 Rear Remotes and Top & Tilt

He has a cab tractor, EVERY 3rd party rear remote set that I have ever seen for a cab tractor is, well, just a mess. But that is only my experience, maybe you know differently? But you are correct, it would be less $$$$ and functional. Good luck using manual valves. ;)

Grand L4060 Rear Remotes and Top & Tilt

Without going to some serious fabrication, you are pretty much stuck using the Kubota rear remotes. The L4060 3pt should really have 2 1/2" dia cylinders so that you don't have cylinder issues. Good luck with the Summit T&T kit, I believe they use 2" cylinders, but maybe not.

WR Long vs Summit vs OEM valve kits - deep dive

The quality of the top & tilt cylinders most likely will not make a big difference for your L3400. But Summit has issues when the side links need more than a small angle at either the top or bottom or both ends of the side link cylinders. Common issues with both the LX, B and BX series...

WR Long vs Summit vs OEM valve kits - deep dive

Unless I'm missing something NEW, these guys only have electric-operated rear remote valve systems. Electric-operated valves that are talked about on these forums are FAR FROM IDEAL for top & tilt cylinder operation. It is simply hard to beat a manually operated valve. The secret here is to have...

    Remote valve types for L3901

If you are going with factory Kubota valves, then there is no need to get anything other than spring return to center valves. The Kubota rear remote valves are known to have excessive internal leakage, so you will need to have double pilot-operated check valves on the top & tilt cylinders to...

3rd function, remotes, and top and tilt

I agree, install 90s at the coupler ends and have the hoses point upward similar to what is on the John Deere pictured. The hoses are plenty long enough for this not to be an issue. There is no good reason to make this harder-more costly than it needs to be. ;)

3rd function, remotes, and top and tilt

The issue with pretty much all of the Kubota rear remotes is the excessive internal valve leakage, allowing cylinder drift. There are several different solutions for dealing with that issue. Some valves are not as bad as others, just an odds on issue. Depending what all you do with the tractor...

3rd function, remotes, and top and tilt

I believe that you are considering electric valves, yes? Electric valves are far from optimum for controlling top & tilt cylinders. I'm not saying that they don't work, but in no way can you feather the controls as you can with manually controlled valves. And the need to feather the T&T controls...

3-point quick hitch with hydraulic latch?

Just a friendly note. You do not have to get off the tractor to latch the QH. Leave the levers down and it will still latch and then be locked. By doing this, you have just cut your trips off the tractor for latching in half. ;)

    Adding a hydraulic top link..........?

I believe that the ideal length is about 20"-29" for the smaller M series models. A 2 1/2" dia up to a 3" dia cylinder should be used. Look at the following link, base the mid stroke of the hydraulic unit on the asked for dimension, plus or minus a fraction of an inch...

Lx4020 rear blade / scraper blade recommendations

Movement in all directions is preferred. Whatever you get, be sure that the boom is long enough that you can spin the blade 360* when connected to the 3pt. The heavier, the better. Good luck with your decision. :)
