Diesel engine sucked up water! Now what?

Yeah, I find it weird Kubota would make a machine like this then make the air intake so low rather than put a snorkel on it right at the get go

    Rotella T6 synthetic oil

A guy can't have too many guns, or grills. :D Just put my almost $1000 POC Toro Snowblower away for warm weather into back garage. Did a drain and fill on it with my T6 at same time. At least the engine is good :D

    Rotella T6 synthetic oil

Yep only have 2 small gas engines now. My Honda walk behind mower and my Toro (POS) 724QXE snow blower. I hate that machine but I take care of it. I know I don't have to use the T-6 in those machines but it makes sense. to simply stock one type of engine oil (other than for my car which is a...

    Rotella T6 synthetic oil

My buddy has a Moto Guzzi 1000CC motorcycle. Believe it or not his owner's manual recommends Rotella T-6 in the 5W-40 grade IIRC. And no it's not a diesel :D

    G-1900 starter(??) problem

Yeah, the cool thing is with the solenoid you don't have to defeat any safety systems. Since the relay will operate at as little as 8 volts and not much current.

    G-1900 starter(??) problem

Or you need that relay mod I did to my G2160. There are WAY too many places for voltage and current to get lost the way Kubota wired those things, and while I am sure had I taken the days to trace every wire to every interlock and either cleaned or replaced every microswitch, every spade...

    Diesel oil additive

No snake oil. Most all engine oils these days are so good there is nothing you can do to improve on them. Rotella T-6 5W40 in my tractor. Actually since it's convenient to use, it's in all my outdoor equipment. (walk behind Honda mower and Toro Snow Blower).

    BX24 ran out of oil!

Re, question about who checks their oil on vehicles, and machinery? Whenever my Kubota is parked in the garage, the hood goes up and stays up in and a bag of repellent is placed up on top of the battery and in the engine bay. In an effort to keep critters out. Next time the unit is operated...

    Oil Pressure Gauge

Just looked up BSPT. OK, now I am a bit confused. Why would a Japanese engine use a British standard fitting rather than a metric or NPT? That is crazy.

    Oil Pressure Gauge

Life has been a whirlwind and I totally forgot. My sister and I have been dealing with crisis after crisis with our dad. And actually while we had a brief respite late this past summer, things have been on a steady decline since. Even today I had to cancel something because of yet another...

    Oil Pressure Gauge

So I have a really nice AutoMeter Oil pressure gauge (mechanical) I had used on my old Honda 4514 as their oil pump was a weak point and there was no pressure warning or cutoff. Anyway I bought the Autometer (it's mechanical). Now I want to out it on the Kubota G2160. I noted the oil sender...

    T1760 Rride-On Mower Irregular Starting

Yeah, and it's why I got tired of pulling connectors, searching for interlocks and pulling my hair out. And even with nearly all interlocks bypassed (except for the brake interlock) as that much is a given. Especially now that with all our cars you have to step on a pedal to start it. Now it's...

    Mower drops to ground

Oh, IDK. I am no expert on hydraulics. While I like the "fingertip" control in some ways I would simply prefer manual levers. A while back I had an old (really old) Allis Chalmers garden tractor Near as the dealer could tell it was perhaps a 1961/62 model. It had hydraulic implement lift, and a...

    Mower drops to ground

The hydraulic cylinder(s) likely have worn internal seals. Not sure if rebuildable some are some aren't
