In the HST I believe that machine will call for SUDT2. I would not put anything else

Oh I already knew all those things. This is just the first diesel engined device I've ever owned. IDK it is actually cheaper to run it since diesel is so $$$$ around here, but it's amazing how little of it is actually used

Yep, just got in again today from working it for about an hour or so, fuel is still above the light starting to blink. Not sure if "normal" but my light will begin to blink here and there with about 2 gals left and go steady with about 1 gal left. Book says it holds 6 IIRC

Yeah, it looks so much like a G2160 but it's not. I was quite surprised after digging further.

I am not sure but I THINK it uses the same hydro as the G2160. If so changing out hydro fluid is pretty straightforward. Slide deck out and a large drain at front of trans, with a screen to clean. Filter on the back behind a metal shield it's a spin on

I have a half acre. Garage where I park the machine is a wood floor. Have never seen any spotting under the machine at all. Some maint on the machine had been neglected when I bought the machine. IIRC it had about 860 hrs on it. The deck gear box oil had maybe been changed once or twice in all...

Just throwing this question out You folks who have this deck or variation of it. Just curious how often to you hit the spindles with grease gun and change the gear oil in the gear box? I have the maint manual. Just wondering if there is any other input on this?

That whole thing flies in the face of how we all know/expect a hydrostatic trans to operate. With the Kubota, I have now owned 3 hydro machines total (Honda 4514, Simplicity Sovereign and now the Kubota) (not counting my Honda HRX216 walk behind which actually has a mini hydrostatic trans)...

Honestly looks to me you came on here asking questions you should be asking an attorney. One has to wonder on a GR2120 about the whole scenario. It's a hydro trans. Similar (not the same as my 2160). If power goes away it does not free wheel. Hydros don't have a "neutral" as in a regular gear...

I gotta wonder why would someone keep running a severely overheated machine to the point of destruction then wonder what happened?

Are glow plugs to be considered a "regular" replacement like spark plugs on a gasoline engine? IOW replace at regular intervals? Or simply on an as needed basis

Lots of oil threads here. Do a search and form your own conclusion. A lot of folks though like the Rotella T6 5W-40. But, hey, it's your machine
