    Starter Relay

This was the issue with my G2160. Relay solved all the issues

    G1800 will not turn over

I didn't disable them I'm simply using the relay to carry the current the solenoid requires. Your idea reminds me of a funny story from years ago. My friend (then next door neighbor) was on his lawn tractor he had at the time. I happened to look out my slider (back then his and my daughters were...

    G1700 G1800 G1900 frame breaking?

Weight in the tiers will not affect the frame as it will not be "sprung weight"

    G1800 will not turn over

If the switches voltage/current goes through the box (I don't think it does on my G2160, then yeah it would likely be lower current. But IIRC on my 2160 all the current to run the solenoid goes though those useless little switches. Simply adding a helper relay still allows them to work but gives...

    G1700 G1800 G1900 frame breaking?

Doesn't yours have like 6000 hard hours on it? If it was gonna break I'd think it would have by now

    G1800 will not turn over

Kubotas have very convoluted circuitry to the starter. Roya PIA IMO. Too much current trying to get through microswitches. You can likely clean likely clean every contact and connection, relace all the microswitches and still have the issue. Likely a helper relay will solve all your issues as it...

    Oil Extractor Recommendation

OK the new Vevor I ordered came. Different model though from what I can see only the tank size is all that different. Anyway this was it's "acid test". On manual power I wanted to see if it would pump cold dirty drain oil. So I had a jug of old drain oil outside (not brutally cold today...

    Oil Extractor Recommendation

Well the new one came today. Seems to work. The previous one did not pull a vacuum this one if I give it one pump, it pulls a pretty hard vacuum. I will see if it pulls cold oil. If it can do that it's a keeper!

G2160 Drain cock plug broke, need to take out for coolant change?

That petcock is not in the radiator it's on the side of the engine block. Radiator on this model has a little plugged off rubber hose and a clamp. No petcock, so nothing to "fix" there

G2160 Drain cock plug broke, need to take out for coolant change?

That is not smart IMO. From the looks of your photo(s) it looks like the ONLY thing holding the pressure is rust. Meaning the cooling system was badly neglected. And if it lets loose that leak will be sudden and catastrophic. And in the worst place possible both from a cooling standpoint and...

G2160 Drain cock plug broke, need to take out for coolant change?

People keep calling this a "bolt" it's not a bolt. It's a petcock. As for leaving it, VERY risky. Being a petcock there is a hole in the center and who knows the condition of the pintle? I've never had great luck with EZ Outs but for all the times I've used them I've never broken one. The...

G2160 Drain cock plug broke, need to take out for coolant change?

It might. But, be careful. Judicious heat, penetrant, and just go slow

G2160 Drain cock plug broke, need to take out for coolant change?

I don't think it's a "bolt". On mine it's a drain petcock. So honestly if not properly repaired I think that thing is a nightmare waiting for a bad time to happen

G2160 Drain cock plug broke, need to take out for coolant change?

I would definitely not leave that. If it's that bad that cooling system is likely in need of plenty of flushing

    Oil Extractor Recommendation

Nothing wrong with evolving discussions. I do have one comment re the EWK oil extractor though. The pump handle can rotate while pumping, and if you're not cafeful, you can pinch your fingers between the handle and the air valve. You might only do it once though. I'm curious as to whether...
