Does anyone have thoughts on an aftermarket. Suspension seat for my Gravely 52HD? It’s dry, the ground is hard and it’s killing me. Don’t want to throw money at it if it’s not going to change things much. thanks

Turns out they had a repair kit for this model. $15 and shipping. The original part was a molded plastic. I cut it off with a hacksaw. For now, all is good.

Thanks all. It’s a Woodford model K1C. They look to be one of the more common hydrants. I’ll look for parts and replace the whole thing if I must. I don’t have a backhoe so it’s with shovel work or a rental. I don’t like either.

Any way to just keep the pipe and put in new hardware back in the pipe without digging?

Hey Folks, I'm looking for some advice on my water hydrant. The handle on the head is old and starting to break ( one side broken ). It still functions for now but needs some muscle to lift and close. One of these days it will be broken all together and I'll have an emergency on my hands...

Good ideas fellas. Just got back from a work day out. Unfortunately, many work days are at home ( which I hate ). I think I'm spoiled as we can generally get out of the house during the winter here in MO. One more day of cold and it breaks. I may, however, look at a Play Station or whatever...

I do hit the public library a couple nights a week and read papers. There a couple of hours. -1 F and windy currently. Typically, we don't have this weather so I don't have insulated / heated sheds. Currently, it's 19 in my attached garage with two sides to the house!
