    B7100 HST engine overhaul

Well, I think 2000 hours is very low for having the trouble I'm having. I know of some with almost 5000 hours on them with nothing done to them at all. It was running fine. I pulled it in shed one night then 2 weeks later went out to start it and it wouldn't fire a lick. Compression showed...

    B7100 HST engine overhaul

I have a very nice B7100 4x4 HST with a D750 engine. About 2100 hours. It has low compression and after replacing head, valves and injectors, I think it needs a complete overhaul. Thinking of doing it myself. I can get an overhaul kit on Ebay for $500, from Canada. Pistons, rings, wrist...

    B7100 Won’t Start

Well, I Adjusted the valves. All seem to be working fine. I still have zero compression on the cylinders. I'm stumped. Basically the problem is that it went from starting and running fine. Parked it for two weeks, then it wouldn't fire a lick. The compression is now zero. Installed new...

    B7100 Won’t Start

I'm sorry, I was sort of rambling. I assume a B7100 HST has hydraulic lifters. After installing the new head which came with new valves/springs installed, the engine will not start or fire. The cylinders check for 0-50 psi for compression. After cranking it trying to start it, most of the...

    B7100 Won’t Start

Did you ever get this problem fixed? I'm going through the same thing. Mine is a 1996 B7100 HST, no compression release. 2100 hrs. It ran good when I parked it in shed. When I went to start it two weeks later it wouldn't fire a lick. I've put in new glow plugs ( and they get hot)...

B7100-Oil (not smoke) out of breather tube

You might consider checking compression on the cylinders. If one or more is below 400 it might be a valve burned or not seating, thus allowing fuel and gases to blow back into the intake manifold. It would be a wed soft gummy build up. It happened to me on my B7100
