Bent rod or bad injector on a B7100?

Hi, I believe the previous owner hydrolocked it and bent a rod, the exhaust smells a little like fuel, not like cool diesel, but maybe hot diesel...? It takes one cylinder a few revolutions before it fires and we loose the blue smoke. When I first acquired it I did a compression test, all three...

    B7100 timing set/check?

Hi, Swapped bent governor fork, front main oil seal was leaking anyway... put it back together and we are off and running. I previously installed a temp sensor in the top radiator hose and topping out at 205 degrees while bushhogging at full throttle. It was in the low 50' here while my son...

    B7100 timing set/check?

HI, Timing is off I believe on my B7100 HST. I know that the shim stack I started with should not change when replacing a pump, however it has I believe. Between a cracked head and a bent governor fork during an ill fated pump install and Bunion surgery, the repairs moved twice in the shop over...

    Injector pump mystery

Hi, remove injector lines and check injector pump delivery amounts, if they are similar then remove injectors. Using the pipes and injectors re attach to the pump to check if you have sufficient pressure to pop open injector and allow a spray of fluid out of the injector that you can observe...

    B7100 Centering arm bushing.

Thinking back...removing 100 is easy, no surprises, but 80 is eccentric, it is used to adjust the pedal for forward and reverse movement. while it is on jack stands you can adjust pedal travel/tire spin by turning 80 with a standard screwdriver and locking it in position with bolt 100. Ken

B7100 Grinds when pressing in clutch

Should have added does the range lever grind if you have the hst pedal depressed and try to move the range lever from neutral to a gear. It sounds like your clutch is not disengaging. Reading your first post again the safety switch does not have anything to do with the clutch, you need to adjust...

    B7100 Centering arm bushing.

Yeah, the panel covers the hole… not an easy area to work in. I think I ended up unthreading the tension bolt item 170 to be able to reattach the spring to item 60.

B7100 Grinds when pressing in clutch

Does it grind when you shift from rabbit gear to turtle gear?

    B7100 Centering arm bushing.

Replacing item 70 should fix your problem. If there is excessive wear on 10 or 60, you can replace 120 with a washer that has a larger diameter that the bearing(110). hopefully that makes sense. You may find 70 is gone and it is just metal on metal. If I remember right, 70 is a snug fit on 80...

    B7100 HST hydraulic oil leak

Those pics are perfect! Agreed on the wheels spinning, your hst is fine, just leaking. Go here Kubotabooks.com and download the service manual. My leak was from the recess in those bolts, that is where I replaced the o-rings, there was a roll pin that held a steel plate in the bolt and an o...

    B7100 HST hydraulic oil leak

Well that's pretty oil. A little moisture problem in there too, No it is not normal. You might just want to fill it up with UDT, run it for an hour and do another change... might help leaks and the sludge...going to be expensive but if the HST is strong it will be fine. The HST filter is...

    B7100/b1730c+la403 valve

Sorry I was typing on phone at the barn. That must be it, when I tried to dump it locked up tight. Pulled the hoses off and had flow out of both of hoses, the rod end and blind end. So just swap the hoses, and it will work? Ken

    B7100/b1730c+la403 valve

Acquired an la403 valve to replace existing valve. When I received loader it was disassembled so o guessed it would be simple…rod end and blind end on the same side of the valve. No such luck.

    B7100 HST hydraulic oil leak

Looking back at the pictures too, make sure you are using a good(Kubota UDT)hydraulic tractor oil, not sure what previous owner had in mine, but it looks very dark in the picture.

    B7100 HST hydraulic oil leak

From the other post, the oil is leaking from the bolt looking things on the bottom of the hst, there is a roll pin through the head of the bolts that holds a cap, o-ring and spring in there I believe is is a pressure relief of some kind. I believe the previous owner may have toyed with the hst...
