Is a few years and the cap has worked as it should. Now as I have about 1300 hours on the tractor the seals are leaking and I think I will have to have them replaced. I will look into it to see if I want to tackle it myself or have my dealer do it for me. I do like a challenge but sometimes it’s...
Yes for sure, but the cap doesn’t fit just perfect. So will put a piece in just for my peace of mind. I have an electric background also but have always invented or made things I require when I can’t find anything I really like in stores. I’m sure it will do what I want.
Well finally installed a small vent in filler cap. I hope this will work. It is a oil filler from an old electric motor. I drilled through the filler cap and then enlarged the top of hole to accept the shaft and cap that is 1/4” . It is not to high out of the cap but will allow air to escape the...
Nice, I have the front mounted snow blower also with the hydraulic chute, the hydraulic is an expensive option but so nice, I guess I will see when I get my cab, I did order it with heat so that should be nice when it’s so cold here in Manitoba
Hope you get everything working correctly, how do you like the cab. I have ordered a tect-tite cab for my bx1860 and am hoping I did the right thing. Am just tired of blowing snow when it’s -25. I get in and off the tractor a lot when using it for cutting and dragging trees digging potatoes with...
I have purchased a 4’ box blade for my bx1860 and it works great for moving and leveling gravel. I also have an 8’ railway tie that I have installed two pull points on to connect to my 3 point hitch with a pull bar. I have installed 3 grader blades two for weight and one for cutting into...
I have a kind of clicking noise and it seems to be getting a little louder just driving across the lawn. Bx1860 with 1000 hrs. Have tightened front axle pivot but was wondering if could be the steering box. Steering is tight just hearing the noise and not sure where to look. Any suggestions?
Yes I did all that to change the boot seals a few years ago. Took me about 13 hrs in shop. Got a chain hoist out of the deal. Front boot when again and changed it by only taking the motor out and up. About 4 hours and no other way on this tractor I agree.
When you are using your tractor I found with my bx1860, that after about 15 minuets I would pull the filler plug. This in turn let pressure out of the axle and since I started doing this my axle seals have not leaked.
