M4D Fail to start when hot

Was bush hogging the other day and ran over a ratchet strap that was left in the grass. Definitely not my ratchet strap so suspect it was the neighbors as it was on the common fence line. Managed to disengage the PTO and all and cleared the strap out of the machine. Upon restart it was dead...

Odd Interlock Starting Issue - M4D-071

My son was running the M4D with a bat-wing mower yesterday. He encountered a unexpected mound of dirt and bogged down the bat wing and it stopped the tractor. He turned the PTO off, Shuttle back to neutral and even put the thing in neutral to restart it. It would not do anything. Turn the key...

    K725KH no start

Agree I would totally isolate the engine. It's power and ground. As long as the fuse is good it should be able to hot wire and run. I had a Briggs that had a bad CAM once that was difficult to diagnose but if your a mechanic than the general engine tech should not be a mystery. Timing...

    Hydraulic fluid change?

Those low hours are impressive. My M4-071 is just under 100 in two years!

L4060 HST oil filter change 50hr

The Wix filters likely will do the job but I'd stick with OEM. If anything I have learned over the years if it bolts or screws to the motor, use the OEM part. They have the most invested in the good service life and will put the most $$$ and engineering behind the OEM parts.

    Kubota L4701 Tractor fuel issue

How old is the fuel in the tank? Hopefully you cleaned out the old fuel first and cleaned out all the lines running to the filters? May have plugged injectors. Believe that is a common rail electronic injection system. I'd remove the common rail to verify the quality of the fuel up at the...

    Land Pride blade nut

Tom according to the link above that wrench will only go 600Ft Lbs on a good day. Believe the Amazon one is at the 8:30 mark in the above video. 500-600 depending on battery. Hopefully works for you but my Milwaukee wouldn't budge it.

    Land Pride blade nut

BTW - Im a fan of the Torque Test Channel on You Tube. Before shelling out $$$ for that impact go see that site as he likely tested the impact your thinking of picking up. In general most no name tools on Amazon underperform badly. Just go into the purchase with knowledge and you may be...

    Land Pride blade nut

I have a Lands Pride Bat Wing and it takes the same 1 11/16" socket to remove the nut. Yes you can remove the plastic covers to get to the other side. Just don't misplace the cover (ask me how I know). I used a 1/2" Drive Electric Milwaukee Impact and that nut just laughed at it. Mind you this...

MX 4700 idles fine, Smokes and clatters under load

How many hours are on it? Can't recall but believe this one has a DPF. Under load if the DPF is needing to be cleaned out it can cause all sorts of odd behavior. I'd check easy things like above (filters) but may be worth looking into hours run vs. what Kubota considers as max life and service time.

    M7060 Squealing noise

Sounds like an idler or belt issue. Loosten the outer belt and try again. If it goes away you know it was in that group. Appears you have two belts?

Kubota Super UDT2 Trans-Hydraulic Fluid Shelf Life & How to remove one of the drain plugs

Or a kiddie pool. I use a kiddie pool for paint buckets as well when spraying big jobs. Sure makes clean up a whole lot easier.

    Flat Face Coupler

Ive had the grapple sitting in the sun and it was impossible to connect the lines after the temperature built up some pressures in the system. I waited for it to cool off later and it went togther just fine. I could have burped the lines with a socket and a hammer but I just waited.

Question(s) about tending a brush pile fire with the tractor.

That and don't burn in windy or very dry conditions. I have been waiting nearly 8 months to burns some mesquite piles. I will use the grapple to get it all together. Mow around the pile nice and short. Like others said just use a shovel and rake to maintain things. I am lucky while running the...
