I made a cover for mine out of a piece of PVC pipe with an end cap. Use wire ties to secure it. Worked great. Greased the splines before installing the cap.

I would like to add a bolt on step onto my B7800. Is there one made that will fit onto this deck?

Probably good news, the owner found a buyer for this tractor. I really like this model, but was uncomfortable with too many issues. Learned a lot that I will carry with me to my future shopping adventures! Thanks to all for the great information and your time.

Looking at a 2008 B7800. Owner says the odometer reads a lower rpm (appr. 1500 rpm's) when he is running the engine at pto speed. Is there a fix for this? Will the tractor have clocked less hours than it would have if the odometer read the rpm's correctly?

This photo shows the 4wd control lever. Can anyone deternine by the photo if the lever is in the 4wd or 2wd position? I don't think that the owner has ever moved it. He stated that there was no way to take the machine out of 4wd.
